Bound by a name, driven by a desire to become more, Cecily and Frost have survived their first battle and come out stronger for it. However, the bond they share comes with more than a way to communicate and a life long friendship; it comes with a death sentence should anyone discover the taboo magic they've undertaken. No one knows yet, but a single moment's mistake can lead to dire consequences for both dragon and mage.

Yet, neither dragon nor mage have time to slow down. Cecily's grandfather has given Cecily a challenge to prove her worth: pass the bronze licensing exam and become a quest-worthy mage within a few weeks. As Cecily undertakes one of the most important trials of her young life, Frost finds himself facing down his own challenge: the secrets still hidden within the fortress walls. Just what ancient secrets lay in wait, unseen and untouched for hundreds of years?

On top of that, danger still stalks the Snoweldon Fortress. Mysterious thievery, an attack on their communications tower, and suspicious road closures point to a dangerous enemy preparing to close in on the Snoweldon family. As autumn closes in, what will become of a certain tiny dragon and his companion?

Second in the Reborn series, this book picks up only a few weeks after the end of Volume I. If you're looking for exciting isekai and heartwarming friendship, this series will certainly float your boat!

While improved I must say the Cover art, (I mean not to disrespect the hopefully still growing artist but it's not professional enough in my opinion),

It's a reborn book without a game system and stats. That automatically shoots it above some of the more annoying titles that tend to post and read off at the end of each chapter there pointless "game system" stat block numbers at the end of each chapter. So, if you like me dislike all that this book is going to be great for you.

It does not come off as a "Game system" and is more a whole new fantasy world. This I also like.

The narrator does an incredible job. He blew me away this time with the different characters and accents he used, the effort he put into his job was once more beyond what I hoped for. He shifts characters with a believable new accent, tone and it feels like I'm watching a podcast of critical role, where matt mercer or other voice actors are switching between different characters. He still makes a few slip ups just like in book 1, unless it's the writing but that's fine. His over all great performance outweighs the few strange, repeated words or potential slip ups that were heard, and he did a truly wonderful job. I hope the future releases don't have those slip ups, but even if they do, I am sure I will enjoy them.

The writing seemed a bit better but still at times (though less often then in the first book) struck me as the weighting of a beginning author (With incredible potential) that made a few mistakes and perhaps didn't have an editor or someone to go back and fix a few of them. But the plot is once again great, the overall story is once again incredible. The main character is lovable. They still don't lose their humanity but are draconic enough to be believable. Despite the some of the writing errors and potentially the narrator's errors I seem to have once again heard the story narration and overall performance was in my opinion so great that I happily give the entire experience once more a 5/5

To the author, I cannot wait for more releases on audible. You have a guaranteed returning customer.

Once more I'm impressed
