Practical and Vital Guidance to Be Happy

Anyone who is dating or who would consider dating in the future would be hugely benefited by this book. I discovered Greg Baer and the ideas of Real Love a week ago. It is already having a significant positive effect in my life. (I read one of his other books in that time, too.) Some people are put off by the supposed marketing of his other materials in this book. However, having seen some videos and read other books, I believe he is saying that to be efficient. He does not repeat all that material in this book. You really would benefit from learning those other materials (such as the original Real Love book) to skillfully apply these principles.

I believe that the application of the principles he teaches here, though simple and in some ways easy (some ways not), provides a key to happiness and success in relationships and life. I am excited to learn and apply more as I go forward, and excited to share this with friends and family.

P.S. He has very insightful and practical guidelines for how to go about finding a partner, and/or whether to stay in your current relationship, and how to end that relationship if you do leave. Plus much more.

Blew my mind

I have learned a lot about relationships, but this book taught me what real love is and how to look for it and express it. This book brought me enormous growth and I will be adding some of this material to my Relationships class and suggesting it to clients.

An excellent book by an excellent teacher. 😊

My second read/listen of this book. I first met Greg in his Phoenix seminar in mid 2005 and have read/listened to several of his books, including Real Love, his foundational book. In this book on dating Greg is as passionate and loving as ever. I've had the pleasure of seeing him in person in at least two events since 2005 and I've always been convinced that he stands as tall as and is as committed to unconditional love as were great men like Carl Rogers and Carl Jung. Further, he practices Real Love with everyone with whom I've seen him come in contact, including in his marriage to his loving wife Donna. By organizing many Real Love groups, by creating many forms of media and by speaking at least 1400 times on radio and TV, Greg has been a Loving Force for humanity and will surely be appropriately recognized as such.

Gained A Lot

Realizing recently that I want love in my life but don't know how to love well. This book was so helpful in clarifying where to find love, when and where not to find or expect it, and how to grow and become someone who can give love well. A great listen, highly recommend it.

Trying to sell his other books too much

There is a lot of good content in this book, but my only complaint is that he references his other book about 40 times and invites us to buy it instead of just talking about the content that’s in that book.

Eyes opened

Audible made this so enjoyable! I could drive, do laundry and other things while I was having my eyes opened to things I had never thought of, yet made so much sense. If the other isn't able to give real love, it's just a matter of time, before our world crashes. I am now better able to see what traits to steer clear of. Happy with who I am, looking for someone else who is happy with who they are.

Real love is unconditional!

Some good points, but most unrealistic. Way too much cross selling other books by this author. I think the author is about selling books rather than helping people in real life.
