Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? good pace and likeable characters, has some humor and the story is entertaining. This is another easy listen, disilusioned actor/omega Caden meets a strong cowboy/alpha Jett ... let the sparks fly and the good times role.

Narrator comment: I'm a bit on the fence with the narration. David Seager gave each character his own voice, there was plenty of emotions and the book was bought to life. His character voices though, were a little inconsistent and I'm just not convinced the voice he gave Jett did the character justice (I think he was going for stero-typical cowboy, but it just didn't work).

Meh

Not the best one of the series. There were things I liked-the premise-but things I didn’t. The cowboy cliches were over the top for one. Also, the dirty talk in the sex scenes were more funny than sexy and I’m a huge fan of dirty talk.

I have so many mixed emotions about this book, where to start...
The story itself was really good city boy falls in love with country daddy (sigh, swoon, melt) 😁. I feel like it really kept my attention with the different plots and the sex scenes were hot!!
However, the ending was a major bummer!!!! Briton Frost how could you leave it like that😭 (fist wave, endless stream of swear words). I finished this book and felt like I needed to do some yoga or meditation to calm down 🤣. All I'm saying is that there had better be a mention of that situation in another book or I may endlessly cry on the inside for a while. I know I'm being a drama queen, but you finish the story and tell me honestly that you don't feel the same way! 😭😭😭 sigh...
