Almost Really Good?

I really enjoyed the concept of this story, there were a lot of cool sci-fi and survival aspects. The telling of each person's story reminded me of the "Gone" series by Michael Grant. Unfortunately, both these series had the same downfall. So much time was spent on each backstory that the plot didn't move forward very quickly. It was like wading through a swamp of cliche teen angst. The stories themselves were interesting, but they could have been shortened and more time spent on things happening in real time. A 15 hour listen should have included more story.
