Resumen del Editor

The true measure of a man is not in the mistakes he makes...but in how he handles those mistakes.

Rafe Walker gained fame while in the Army when he was photographed for a Military Calendar. Afterward, modeling contracts rolled in but he found his life in California lacking and longed for a change.

Accepting an offer to work as a groundkeeper for a shut-in one summer, near his family in Virginia, he jumps at the chance to return to his roots.

But as he got to know the enigmatic woman, he began to desire a more permanent change with her.

But secrets abound between the two and when they are revealed, will he have lost his chance for a new forever?

Subject matter is similar to what you would find in an R-rated movie. Please be advised, for 18+ listeners.

Absolutely Beautiful!

I loved this absolutely beautiful story with a different twist on Beauty and the Beast. After finding fame because of a photo shoot while in the military Rafe is disillusioned with his life. He decides to go home to Virginia to reassess and takes a job as groundskeeper for a shut-in. Eleanor is living life as a recluse in her own home after suffering from a horrific tragedy in her life. It is wonderful to see how these two blossom and to hear this beautiful story unfold. The author does a fabulous job of dealing with the emotions involved with people’s twisted perceptions of what is and isn’t beautiful. This is such a beautiful story I want to listen to it all over again right away! This series has quickly become one of my favorites and this is only the second book…I can’t wait until the rest are available on audio. Kale Williams does a wonderful job with the narration, bringing the characters to life and making the listening experience an enjoyable one. I highly recommended this book as well as the previous one.
