And he has his potty-mouth, titty-bar-owning, pain-in-the-ass grandmother to thank for it. Not that he's complaining or anything. Who wouldn't want to be married to a woman that made his heart race like he was in the final game of the World Series?

The only problem is trying to convince her of that.

Love the book, but I will also say I'm not a fan of Wrigley that much, she can't make up her mind on what she wants, feel like she's yanking George's chains. But I can't stay mad at her for long, she realizes her mistakes, love the actor's portraiture of the characters and author Lani Lynn Vale made me very happy.

Heartwarming, passionate, and funny

I loved this story and only wish it were longer. I wasn't ready for it to end.

George & Wrigley

I’m going to start by saying that I have loved and enjoyed every one of Lani Lynn Vale’s books. This one was good, don’t get me wrong, but it seemed to be all over the place at times. George and Wrigley just could not get it together, then with the way the time jumped, I almost felt lost. But this story did hold my attention, therefore I go back to my original statement-this is a good story; about two people growing up and fighting to reconnect to find love again.
Mason Lloyd and Kendall Taylor did a wonderful job of bring this story to life.

This book had me both laughing and crying!! Glad I purchased this book. Would definitely recommend it!!!

I am becoming a fan of Mason Lloyd. This one was fast paced, funny silly and didn't drag on. No angst...just a fun light listen with a really great male narrator.

Break then rebuild my heart!

Twice I've read and thoroughly enjoyed everything Ms Vale has written (once per each series order and once per the suggested reading order).
This book really pulled my heart strings, made me cry and laugh out loud. The narrators were so good, I felt as tho I could envision everyone and everything in my mind.
Ms. Vale really knocked it out of the ballpark with this book... pun intended!

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The auditor was great.

Hard to get through and kind of annoying...

I'm a huge fan of Lani Lynn Vale, but this is probably her worst book... That doesn't mean that it was horrible or complete trash, but below average and not what I expected from her. Both main characters are stupid and immature. What bugged me the most though was how weak and gullible the female lead is. Those attributes are often seen in her characters but not to this extent and there is usually a revelation or a more obviously maturing and learning from past mistakes.

Obviously this is just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt. Maybe it was because I was anticipating George's story since Pitch Please.

This felt like 2 different books

This truly felt like a tale of two different stories. I really enjoyed the first half. The second half went to hell. I didn’t agree with why they split up. Her sister was standing over their son’s bed with a gun and she gets mad at George for not wanting her sister around them. That makes no damn sense.

And I still don’t really get what was going on with George and the Melanie girl. He kissed her by accident, which I could understand. Then you hang out with her at a bar or some place after the game (this is never explained), then you are seen hanging with her and your son and she’s walking your dog at the park, then you are kissing her in Wrigley’s apartment. What the ever loving hell is going on. And George gets upset that Wrigley is upset. Excuse me but no.

I should have just stopped the book when Part 2 started. Then I would have been happy.

Narrators great, male character a-hole

Wow! I thought we were supposed to LIKE these characters.
Wriggley isn’t sympathetic and George is an immature douche.
If you love someone, you don’t try to GET BACK at them. Sorry
This is one of my least favorite books LLV wrote.
Narrators were great and they are the ONLY reason why I didn’t demand a refund
