Resumen del Editor

Achtung! Listening to this book may cause the following side effects: you may feel the urge to sell all your possessions. You may abandon your family and friends and wander alone in the wilderness for months at a time. You may learn the meaning of "free spirit". Complications may include tremendous weight loss and the development of muscles you never knew you had. You might also meet incredible people, make friendships that last a lifetime and have experiences unlike any you've ever imagined.

When Niki Rellon fell 45 feet from the side of a Utah mountain in 2013, she thought she was going to die. She didn't, but the devastating injuries she suffered may well have put an end to her thrill-seeking outdoor lifestyle. But Niki is tougher than that.

Not only did she bounce back, stronger and more determined than ever, but she took on a challenge which defied the odds and had many friends, family and medical experts advising against it. Now you can hear Niki's incredible story in Push On: My Walk to Recovery on the Appalachian Trail.

It is the memoir of her horrific injury, the revitalization process and her ultimate recovery on one of the longest walks in North America, just 14 short months after her accident. If you've ever wanted to hear a story which will inspire you and motivate you to believe in yourself, get your copy of Push On today. It may just change your life.

Awesome story

I have every Appalachian trail Audio book available on audible.com and I can’t stress how great this book was. Niki’s story is totally inspirational and really makes you appreciate how many good, kind people there are in the world. The message I could really appreciate was; no matter what life hands you, you can overcome challenges and still be the best that you can be. Niki - well done on sharing your
awesome story!!!

This incredible story will inspire all!

I was a bit put off at first that a man was narrating a story written by a woman, but eventually you get lost in the story and it doesn’t matter anymore.

This is an incredible story of the first female amputee to complete the Appalachian Trail. She’s a great storyteller and you get to celebrate her victories and feel for her struggles. As a fellow amputee this story really motivated me to get out there and test myself on the trail!

My thanks to the author for telling this story and inspiring people with disabilities everywhere!

Not what I expected

This book isn’t like the other AT hiking books. It’s an ok book. Just not my style. Would have been better if a girl read it instead of a guy. The AT hiking part of the book is basic. I got bored pretty quick with the book

FALSE TITLE

5 chapters and still not the first mention of the AT. Wasted money and won't be finished.

Yawn.

The book got off to an interesting start, but then it took two and a half hours of audiobook before she even steps foot on the trail. Instead of the trail adventures and inspiration I anticipated, the book quickly devolved into meandering tales of someone who makes a lot of poor decisions and ends up paying for them in one way or another without seeming to actually learn from her mistakes. And any time something interesting or profound was said, it was immediately revealed to be a quote from someone else: whereas many authors choose to use quotes to begin their chapters, this author sprinkles them in throughout the chapters at random. I'm five hours into this book and will probably skip the remaining 90 minutes. Time to give up the hike. I'm not finding anything inspiring about this author who complains about the hardships of life while being handed free gear, free air flights, free rides, and free meals all while telling us how she is an athlete every couple of paragraphs. One last question: why is this narrated by a man when the author is a woman?

I tried to "Push On" through this book.

The only people who read (or listen to) hiking books are hikers. I didn't much care for the way Niki described hiking and outdoor culture for the "general audience". As hikers and outdoor people, we don't need the explanation. I don't think the narrator helped much either. Over enunciation bothers me, and this guy takes it to the extreme. Nobody talks like that. I just want someone to read me a story without making a giant production of it. I guess not everyone is Dick Hill... The story itself is ok. The writing is ok. I stopped listening, however, about the point she gets to Virginia.
