Our hero was standing in line when the apocalypse came. He was lucky at first to be caught in a crowd when the zombies tried to bite him on the leg. Really lucky, because those trials unlocked new abilities for him.

Another banger!
Once again HDA has outdone himself. This is a wonderful book. I love all the twists and turns and the adventure. Kevin Kemp is an amazing narrator and pulls you into the story. I can’t wait to listen to the next one!!

His magic systems are fantastic. Best I’ve ever read.
Fun, somewhat lighthearted plot that is interesting - even in its details - and exciting even in its complexities. Love the characters and lighthearted banter. The multiple amazing simultaneous romantic relationships - all with total knockouts babes - is the only thread that challenges my ability to keep my disbelief suspended. But who cares? I think his readers are fine with it. It is fantasy after all.

The gods blade
A very good story like all of HDA Roberts works. it is a little all over the place, but ultimately I did very much enjoy this story and look forward to finishing off the series and hope for more books to come
