HEA after heartbreak

This book is full of emotions and all sorts of things to pull at your heart-like seeing Priest around children. Jenny is so determined to not let him back into her heart, but Priest is just as determined to earn his second chance. As the secrets are revealed for why he broke of their budding relationship, you see a deeper side of Priest that only lets him sneak into your heart more-and that goes for Jenny as well. There are some crazy things that happen, as you would expect from a Vikings MC book, but there is laughter, love, and an HEA after heartbreak. And the narration was great at bringing the story to life from the pages.

This is the second story in the Tucson Chapter of the "Viking's Rampage MC" series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone but does have connected characters. This one is about Priest, Jenny, four girls and family. I really enjoyed this story. The narration was well done and really brought the characters and story to life. The story deals with some challenging subject matter, dark elements and possible triggers. Priest and Jenny met previously and had sparks flying. Unfortunately, due to events in Priest life, he let Jenny go. Now he needs her help. He has children with his ex wife and will soon have full custody of them. However, now he has another little girl he wants to gain custody of. Jenny is brought in to help in that matter. This is such a good story! I like the characters, the MC family and the girls. The action and suspense add to the plot.

Many emotions but with a HEA

Priest walked away from Jenny; six months later the MC needs her help. Seeing Priest again, Jenny is determined to keep her heart locked up tight. Now that she's back in Tucson, Priest is making it his mission to claim Jenny as his. Once he comes clean about why he left and the fact he was once married and has daughters, Jenny is seeing a dedicated father protecting his kids and decides that a second chance is just what they both need for a HEA.

A heartfelt, emotional story! Great narration by Michael Norman Johnson and Phillipa Miller. Love this series!

Love the book

I have read this whole series and LOVE it!! I was excited when they made audio books. The only problem i had with this audio is that the male narrator gave Priest a nasally uptight higher pitched voice that doesn't match up with Priests appearance. Love the book but they should really rerecord with a different octave range.

Anything for his girls!

I can't get enough of these books! Priest and Jenny don't start off on the best of terms after he pulled away when she thought they were starting something. Priest had me by the heart strings from the time Kateland was at his door. The immediate way he loved, adored and was going to protect Kateland as his own daughter would be enough to make anyone swoon. Jenny is such a strong woman who was born to love and guide children. Get ready for a mystery and to get sucked into the found family of this MC. I look forward to listening to rest of the series when they are available.

Loved the relationships

Cathleen Cole and Frank Jensen have written another book where I was hooked from the start! So glad I was on the road for minimal interruptions. I was already invested in the characters from the last series. The single adoptive dad, Priest, pulled at my heart strings. And Jenny helping, although she didn't want to at first, warmed my heart. At times I got frustrated with each of them, but they were perfect for each other. I look forward to the next book and more of the series suspense.

The narrators were excellent! They were perfect for the characters and hope to hear more of them in the future.

Priest & Taz

I've been waiting on Priest and Jenny's story. Priest had a great deal of groveling to do. I think he could have groveled a little more but the book is only so long. Jenny aka Taz is a true bada$$ when it comes to protecting what she believes is hers. Loved every second of this audible. Not a lot of authors care if their audience love a dual POV but Cathleen and Frank do. It's what keeps me coming back for more.

A good MC romance

Priest is the second book in The Vikings MC: Tucson Chapter. It’s a motorcycle romance that brings angst and a happy ever after. Priest and Jenny’s chemistry was instantaneous. Their story had a good bit of drama with Priest dealing with life’s curveballs and the club’s issue. The club is a strong, protective bunch and I’m enjoying their world. I’m interested to see how it all plays out in Riptide’s story next.

Phillipa Miller and Michael Norman Johnson did a really nice job narrating and bringing the characters to life.

Missteps and Corrections

Jenny (Taz) Jacobs and Grant (Priest) Mitchell have history that dates back to the MC's Austin chapter. Even though a few Austin members make cameo appearances, prior reading of that series isn't required.

There are several missteps between them. As it's mostly Priest making them, I love how Jenny stands up to him and gets him to see the err of his ways. He definitely gets in his own way a couple of times, but I like that he recognizes and course corrects, even if it does take him days or months.

He does make up for it in spades when he finally sorts himself out. Oh, and the way that he worships her curves while repenting? Hot as H-E-🏒🏒 🌶😍

There is a plot line that continues from book one in this series, and will continue after this book. You can pick up enough to understand without reading <i>'Hush',</i> but my opinion is that reading in order is better. I do love Hush, so take that as you will.

I do love them together, and the story that brings them into each other's orbits this second time around is sweet and scary. A few mysteries are solved, while others spring up. There are definitely dark elements to beware. There is also a lead-in for the next book, and I'm looking forward to Derek and Sloane.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators, Phillipa Miller and Michael Norman Johnson, are wonderful, but I do wish this were duet. I love them for their respective primary characters but hate hearing anyone else try to replace them. 🎧💚🎧
