US Marshal Matt Bannister and his Cousin William Fasana are headed to the distant unknown town of Prairieville to solve a murder that no one else can.

Railroad tycoon Louis Eckman and his wife are robbed on their way to Branson in the Blue Mountains outside of Prairieville. Shortly after, Louis and the driver are murdered and the local sheriff is coming up short.

While in town, Matt meets 14-year-old Tiffany Foster, who is mourning her father’s death. As this relationship grows, Matt learns everything is not as it seems and Tiffany might have the answers.

This is another good book about Matt Bannister. This whole series has been good. Matt is a no nonsense , tough Marshall. He does whatever he has to to get the job done. Even if it has to be kept secert. In this book Matt goes after the gang that robbed and shot Louise Eckman and his wife. He meets a young girl named Tiffany. She is the key into solving the murder. Matt has to take on the sheriff and his crooked deputies. I cant say enough good about this book. This is my favorite storyline. I loved everything about it. When you have a crooked sheriff and deputies and a Marshall comes in and takes them down. I am going to go back and listen to this whole series again. Gary MacFadden does a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.
