Well done

While it was a great story and I did enjoy it, I found some of the dialogue between characters a little stiff. The ending was very well done. The last line...chills!

Powerless

This was a really good book.I enjoyed the storylineNarration by Kathryn Mockerman was mostly good.Sometimes it was too slow or weirdly read. I was given this book free for an honest review.

Suspenseful!

This is an entertaining thriller, suspenseful, intense, and enthralling. Kathryn Mockerman did a good job bringing this story to life.

Outstanding!!!

Omg! Unbelievable! This was mindblowing. I had chill bumps listening to this. The last sentence was really a psych out. Suspenseful, gripping , and intense. I didn't see any of it coming. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

New author, but will stick around

I was sent this audiobook by it’s author in exchange for an honest review. From the beginning with the set-up, I was hooked. I love a good hostage scene in the beginning of a book.

I thought the story played out really nicely. By the end of the book, I was honestly surprised by who the killer was.

If you’re looking for a quick thriller from an indie author, with empowered women (written by a male ally), and a likable mother/daughter team, definitely check this book out!

I will say that the narrator was my least favorite part of the audiobook though. It did not sound as if she had decent recording equipment and there were moments when I was really caught off by the mouth sounds and breathing she was doing. I was also not a fan of the voices she used for all the characters. For the killer, it sounded muffled. For Julia, she sounded too chipper, and I did not enjoy the semi-seductive (but I’m a cool mom) voice she attempted for Brandi. I’m sure she’s a great narrator, but not for this book.

Story is good but narrator not so much

Like the story but the narrator isn’t the best and she needs a better recording device.

Who's that thriller in the neighborhood?

Enjoyable thriller set in a tightknit community. Long stretches of everyday life, which might not suit some readers, but helps build the atmosphere. Narrator has a pleasant voice.

Bazinga

This was a fun story with great narration. I enjoyed the quick pace that made this book an easy one sitting read. The narrator was able to give each character a distinct voice and that was a nice touch.
