John Russell's son Paul is stationed on the Eastern Front with the German Army, awaiting the Soviets' final onslaught.
In Berlin, Russell's girlfriend Effi has been living in disguise, helping fugitives to escape from Germany. With a Jewish orphan to care for, she's trying to outlast the Nazis. Russell hasn't heard from either of them since fleeing Germany in 1941. He is desperate to find out if they're alive and to protect them from the advancing Red Army.

Inside view of the fall of Germany
Interesting book. Basically it’s the fall of Nazi Germany more specifically Berlin viewed through the eyes of our hero Russell (you don’t need to have read the previous books though it’s helpful to have) and his son and partner. Slow moving and very detailed. The back plot is a bit thin but the main event is the slow but sure advance of the red army on Berlin. If you’re into that history you’ll like it. If you’re not you probably won’t.

Well done.
Really enjoyed this series. The characters, prose, pace and plot were all well done. Wish there were more.

The series is getting better and better..
This thriller kept my nerves on edge throughout. It also served to remind me of the terrible suffering of war... and the continued disregard for these lessons, by politicians and leaders.
Excellent read/listen.

Best of the Station Series, I liked all of them...
If you like Bernie Gunther series by Philip Kerr, and are into this Genre, this is for you. Noirish and rich in details. Not a Vince Flynn shootem up, action packed novel and not everyones thing though.

Not happy with the audi
Audio is hard to get to started have to go back to my other kindle and chase around don't understand what is happening😂😂
