Delightful competition!

Another Caldwell brother hits the marital dust with Pony Up! I absolutely love the story of Carter and Pepper. She is the chef at Sakana, located in the Mona Lisa casino owned by the devil himself, Dante Giovanetti. Carter Caldwell runs the Steakhouse restaurant located inside the Armonico, his brother Nix's casino. Carter and Pepper had never met before they were involved in the charity event, Helping Hearts and Hands, and it was love/hate from that point on. Theirs is a complicated and prickly relationship. They both desire to be the preeminent chef in Las Vegas. Hers is a pescatarian restaurant and his serves only meat! Oh, the insults that are hurled back and forth! There's a fine line between love and hate and these two repeatedly criss cross that line. Pony Up is written with a marvelous sense of humor, sabotage, fierce attraction and competition. They are both invited to vie for a position on the Food Network. Let the games begin! They will stop at nothing, as rivals, to outdo the other. I adore the characters of Claude, Peppers' pastry chef; Basil, Carter's sous chef and Cody, Pepper's lasso-toting brother. The entire cast of characters fits together so well and gives Pony Up a depth of character. I don't think I've ever read a sweeter, more unexpected HEA! Pony Up is a gem Zac Aleman does another exemplary narration with his well-modulated voice and hilarious accents that fit the characters perfectly. He does the evil voice of Dante Giovanetti with a sleazy snark! I found this to be even more enjoyable because I read it before I listened. 

It's hot in the kitchen!

I'm excited to get Carter's story in the Caldwell Brothers series! He and Pepper spiced things up with a fiery blast, especially when they discovered that they were rivals! The narration was pretty good, although I like it best when there are both male and female voices.

This was a humorous but amazing romance, with two talented chefs fighting to win. I loved the dialogue and banter, as well as the way Carter and Pepper loved as much as they fought. The sparks flew throughout this sexy, engaging romance novel!

I loved this latest installment with the Caldwell brothers! The narration was amazing!

There was drama, excitment, steam, and fun. Carter and Pepper have some sizzling chemistry from the start but they are rival chefs. Dante makes another appearances in this book still up to his tricks. I would definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a steamy read with some drama that makes you say “just a few minutes more”.

Steam, Heart and Humor

This is such a funny, steamy and entertaining book. As someone that enjoys cooking, reading, The Food Network, and romance novel, it was almost like this book was created with me in mind. Carter and Pepper are rival chefs. These two are opposites in almost every way. He's all red meat, she's all seafood, he's from Vegas, she's from Kansas. In fact they can't stand one another and have absolutely nothing in common.....except the flaming hot inferno of attraction they feel for each other. With lots of steam, heart, humor, and drama, this highly enjoyable read will keep you turning pages as Carter & Pepper heat up the kitchen and the bedroom! An excellent read in a terrific series. I thought that the narrator had a pleasing voice to listen to and they did an excellent job in pulling you into this book.
