Amazing Book, HORRIBLE Reader

Where does Pivotal Moments rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very, very low. I absolutely hated listening to this book. One of my friends wrote the book and I figured the Audible version would be good. No. I absolutely hated the experience.

What other book might you compare Pivotal Moments to and why?

I can't really say, it's unique in its tastes. The book Pivotal Moments is a chicklit book, which I don't really read often.

What didn’t you like about Malika Searcy’s performance?

Absolutely unprofessional. Seriously I feel bad even saying it but I feel like this legitimately was one of the worst Audible's I've ever listened to. Malika didn't take the time to go through and listen to her recorded audio before submitting it, so it was rittled with holes. She would speak a paragraph, cut off in the middle and start over with a totally new recording, and if that's not bad enough, she'd even cut off in the middle of a word itself, instead of starting fresh at a new paragraph. I understand Malika may be new at this, as her books that she's read are few. But if you stop talking for half a second on a word in a sentence, then you really REALLY need to just redo the entire sentence. I can't imagine how much time it took to record this, but I do know that recording this Audible wasn't cheap for the author. I know one thing, when my own book is published, I'm saving up the money to afford a professional reader. This experience was just so piss-poor I ended up turning the thing off early. Make your work more professional next time before you butcher a good book again. Thanks.

Just...don't charge outrageous prices for a professional job when the job that's done is horrible at best.

Sweet!

Pivotal Moments is a sweet slow romance. The physical attraction is there too, but the focus is on the developing relationship between Aislinn and Teagan. Teagan is everything a girl could ask for. He's mature, a few years older than herself, confident, and keenly aware of Aislinn's insecurities, without ever holding her lack of experience against her.
The narration, as another listener stated, could be something of a distraction for some, but it suits the youth and inexperience of the character. Give it a listen and find yourself falling for Teagan too!
