Resumen del Editor

I was an alpha. A loving mate. A girl swept up in a cruel world.

I escaped, but not without casualties.

A determined force of nature, I’ve learned how to use my gifts. I’ve got an army of wolves willing to fight under my command. They call me their queen.

My loved ones are in trouble, and it’s going to take everything I’ve got to bring them home.

I’ve accepted my fate.

Once a curse, now a leader.

Once fear, now forever.

Can I get an editor? PLEASE????

Was this a good story? - It could have been.
Did it drag on? YES!!!
I love a good coming of age story. I love that this story, in it's entirety, tells of a young woman's struggle with grief and acceptance. The struggle is real. But did this particular experience have to take 3 separate installments? I mean, if there is an abridged version, send it my way. Many times throughout this series, I found myself saying 'I get it!" For example, I get it! You are still working through the grief of your sister's death. But do we need a reminder every chapter? Or -
I get it, the voices are repeating...and repeating...and repeating.
It could have used more heat and less pity. Plus, the character development felt very one dimensional. Sure, witnessing your sister's death makes for a multifaceted catalyst for a character's journey and living in a sibling's shadow sucks, but when these two and only these two points creates the same road blocks at every turn the story telling feels flat and insincere. Honestly, if she had more dimensions in her development, the story would have been shorter and probably better. She was just a self-loathing wreck. Even in the end, she couldn't just live in the moment.
The performance was great, though - both narrators gave good voice.
And last but not least - if you plan on using a person of color as your lead maybe do more research. It's not all braids and satin hair wraps.
