really exciting.

The book was really exciting. I especially liked the fact that he tested the principles by putting you the reader to work by encouraging you to attempt the exercise.

Developing book

Very interesting and compelling at points. There's certain things worth learning here and a good structure to them at that. Most of all this makes me wish psychology was developed as science as rigorously as physics or biology. This book would shed most of that for developing the theory more comprehensively and presenting more complete analyses (or at least basic summary stats) of experimental results.

this is somehow something i have already knew

this is somehow i already knew from other books of same subject. there are plenty of jewels here. but i kinda bored my self listening to the book.

Great book

This book is mainly in the advocacy of the consumer. The premise is that we have mental shortcuts that trigger, almost automatic responses. This is our bodies and brains being psychologically efficient in our best interests. The author believes that many companies manipulate and take advantage of these psychological efficiencies for financial gain.

Understanding book

A lot of good ideas in here. The author includes a lot of anecdotes and examples which I understand is necessary for a book. Will definitely open up your eyes to how others are attempting to influence you in the areas of Commitment and Consistency, Reciprocation, Social Proof, Liking, Authority, Scarcity.

Quick, easy read

Well written as well. Quick, easy read packed with succinct, powerfully persuasive advice. Along with Cialdini, a must read and must use if you genuinely want to increase your persuasive power. Satisfied!!

Helpful book


This is the classic book on the psychology of persuasion. The book does a wonderful job of keeping the subject light despite that it is chock full of references to studies.

Essential book

This book is compelling at a times frightening principles of persuasion, along with reciprocity, commitment/consistency, authority, liking, and scarcity as well as social proof, which is essentially groupthink. It's benchmarking our behavior based on others actions.
