I was very impressed with Ms. Dubose’s book. She shares her wealth of knowledge in starting, maintaining, and growing a small business. I found it very inspiring from beginning to end. She shares the beginning of her journey to becoming an entrepreneur from owning and running her very own lemonade stand to owning and running her very successful business, The Alexis Company, for 35 years.

Ms. Dubose is very transparent and shares not only her successes but also her mistakes and/or her downfalls.

She emphasizes the importance of learning everything that you can and having a mentor. She covers a variety of subjects such as having a business plan, marketing, finances, and hard work. Do not be afraid of failure. It is a part of learning and growing. Never give up. This is a must read!
