It came out of his desire to entertain and keep connection with his ailing mother through the long Covid lockdown, when she lies helpless in a nursing home and her son can neither speak to or visit her. So he sends 50 or so epistles, each a miniature stage performance, in an effort to keep the connection alive.

Guy's letters became a source of pleasure for both Peggy and the staff that care for her. Guy's personal stories are a wonderful memoir and account of modern-day community spirit.
