Resumen del Editor

We are living in a time of unprecedented distrust in America.... Faith in the government is at an all-time low, and political groups on both sides of the aisle are able to tout preposterous conspiracy theories as gospel, without much opposition. “Fake news” is the order of the day. This book is about a man to whom all of it points, the greatest conspiracist of this generation and a man you may not have heard of.

A former US naval intelligence worker, Milton William Cooper published his manifesto Behold a Pale Horse in 1991. Since then it has gone on to sell hundreds of thousands of copies, becoming the number-one best seller in the American prison system. According to Behold a Pale Horse, JFK was assassinated - because he was about to reveal that extraterrestrials were about to take over the earth - by his driver, an alien himself; AIDS is a government conspiracy to decrease the population of Blacks, Hispanics, and homosexuals; and the Illuminati are secretly involved with the US government to manage relationships with extraterrestrials. Cooper died in a shootout with Apache County police in 2001, one month after September 11, in the year in which he had predicted catastrophe.

In Pale Horse Rider, journalist Mark Jacobson not only tells the story of Cooper’s fascinating life but also provides the social and political context for American paranoia. Indeed, with the present NSA situation and countless other shadowy government dealings often in the news, aren’t we right to suspect that things may not be as they seem?

the real story of a real human being

Make sure you've indulged in behold a pale horse and have gone down the conspiracy rabbit hole first. If you're young or straight laced, let yourself believe in aliens, illuminati and all that (beware the anti-semetism at the bottom of the non cooper stuff) ... and then when it's time for you to get a better idea of how tragic, complicated, cynical and grounded in reality the world is ... get this lesson in your brain and ride the roller coaster from vietnam to another ill concieved and poorly executed shoot out between people who really should have stopped and thought through ... any of the steps on the path they took. I'd suggest you hit up last podcast on the left for waco, ruby ridge, oklahoma city and 911 for a better perspective on how those event seemed as they did to many, including cooper. Reality is a whale of a tale.

Great story!

I didn’t know much about Bill Cooper before reading this book. Unaware, I did have some of his books. I have started to read ‘Behold A Pale Horse’, sad that free speech isn’t always free. Thanks Bill, and peace and forgiveness be with you.

A Must for Anyone Interested in Bill Cooper

I loved this book! It is well researched and very informative. It goes beyond just the story of Cooper to give you insight into what was happening in this country that motived him to reach out to the American people and warn them of the dangerous trends that were occurring. I would recommend reading Coopers "Behold a Pale Horse" first, as it is referred to many times in this book. The narration is also excellent. Kudos to Ray Porter for a job well done.

...That narrator...

This is an interesting book for anyone who has even a passing interest in the Patriot movement of the 1990s which birthed the 'conspiracy' movement of today- Or the UFO craze of old... The book is decent enough and has quite a bit of information which I personally wasnt aware of.

That aside- The narrator.... This guy actually sounds like Bill Cooper- He must have spent an amazing amount of time getting everything correct about the way Cooper spoke- And its eerie. At times it sounds like you're actually listening to Cooper. The inflection in his voice, the way he forms his sentence structure or highlights certain syllables, the places he pauses at- Its almost a perfect 1:1 of Bill Cooper.

My wife and I listened to this in awe- She even commented that at times you would almost think you would forget that you were hearing the quotes by Cooper read by someone else- And not a recording of Cooper himself.

The narrator is downright amazing and made this entire story really work.

This is one of the few exceptions where the audiobook will be superior to the printed copy.

-Again, the story was well researched and written well enough... But that narrator...

William Cooper

Some events covered in the story are happening now. 2nd amendment rights are being discussed by people that don't know which end goes bang...

interesting listen

Good book went well into the depths of Coopers life. Some opinions expressed made it feel a little like a hit piece but sometimes truth is a bit galling. Overall a good listen and well performed.

Fantastic

I highly recommend reading this before Behold a Pale Horse as it allows the reader an unbiased view of Mr. Cooper
I loved the narration and all around one of the best Audible experiences I have had thus far.
