Great storytelling

Great listen on a story not often spoken about. I would highly recommend a listen. Once it began I had to listen all the way through

Beautiful and devastating.

Very well done. As a Canadian, with English ancestry, I wonder if my great grandfather came over this way because there is very little information on him prior to his arrival in Canada. Not once in my public education or university classes was this discussed.

great info and presented well. captivating to learn about this aspect of history thru the lens of specific family impact.

Awareness on the issue of the children’s welfare from that time period.

Pace was a bit slow on delivering the info. Had to speed up 1.5. However, the delivery was compassionate and nurturing in the way narrated and that human interaction was very deliberate.

Sad story. Brought me to tears. A reminder to not judge others for their actions when we don’t know the full story. A good read!

Engaging DNA Revelation Story

I had to speed it up to 1.3 then it was an engaging, interesting story. I’m a sucker for a good DNA, long-lost family story so this was right up my alley!

The fact that the family waited so long to get information on their father

I like that you kept us guessing until the end for the details and how it came to an end.

The knowledge of what happened to the poor children in England in the 1920’s before welfare existed.

I like learning about the “Home Children because it was much worse then the experiences my Dad’s family went through in our country. Though I have heard that tha same kind of thing happened in the US. I am just glad my family didn’t have it quite as bad as the children of England!Children from homes in the US, were sent to the west to be free labor on farms out west!

New to me history

Well presented and clearly explained. The research and respect given to the families was excellent.
