Great storytelling

Great listen on a story not often spoken about. I would highly recommend a listen. Once it began I had to listen all the way through

The "Trueness" of the syory...

Enjoyed 'hearing' from the different characters in their own voices as much as possible. Loved the main narrator's calm non-judgemental delivery.

Interesting Story

It’s not riveting or thrilling per say but a good story about a family’s secret past. I do love history so it was interesting learning about the children ripped apart for their families forever. Glad the families got some answers about their father’s past.

Great story!

Sad story. Brought me to tears. A reminder to not judge others for their actions when we don’t know the full story. A good read!

Engaging DNA Revelation Story

I had to speed it up to 1.3 then it was an engaging, interesting story. I’m a sucker for a good DNA, long-lost family story so this was right up my alley!

The fact that the family waited so long to get information on their father

I like that you kept us guessing until the end for the details and how it came to an end.

This was a great listen, well developed, perfect narration, a heart-breaking story of real life.

Moving story, compelling storytelling and a tragic chapter in history that needs to be brought into the light

It was a gripping story, well-paced and compelling, like a book you can’t put down. Very well-researched and dealt with the subject matter and the family members interviewed in a very sensitive manner. I personally found the violin score to be just a hair too much in places, but that’s minor. The whole series was really well-done and I was on the edge of my seat the entire listen to find out what happened next. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in genealogy, family history and/or historical events that deserve more public attention.
