This book truly spoke to me as a creative who struggles with focus and follow-through. The author doesn’t offer cookie-cutter advice—she shares systems that actually work for neurodiverse minds. I loved the focus on building routines that support creativity instead of stifling it. Kaleigh H. Rhodes’ narration felt warm and reassuring, like getting advice from a friend who gets it. I finished this book feeling more capable and ready to try new strategies that actually fit the way my brain works.

Finally something that works well for me! I really liked this listen. I have ADHD and a creative brain, so I’ve struggled to stay organized without feeling boxed in. Most advice never felt like it applied to how I work. This book got it. The suggestions were not rigid systems I’d never stick to and I loved how the author spoke directly to the way creatives think. I’ve already started using a couple of the tips, and I’m honestly surprised by how helpful they’ve been. If you’re a creative person who’s tired of trying to force yourself into traditional productivity methods, this book is worth your time.

Excellent tips!

I picked up this book after watching my roommate—who is both wildly creative and living with ADHD—struggle with keeping things organized. She’s brilliant and full of ideas, but staying on top of everyday tasks, clutter, and routines has always been a challenge. I wanted to understand more about how her brain works and see if there was a way we could create a more peaceful, functional living space together. This book was such a gift for both of us! What I appreciated most about this book was that I was able to get a better understanding of some of the ways she things and she feels that this book really helped her to build a system that fit the way she thinks. We've been able to set up our shared spaces in ways that are more intuitive and less stressful for her and me.

A Game-Changer for me and my Roommate!

Heidi nailed it in this book. I’ve struggled with lifelong ADHD symptoms as a deeply creative individual and find juggling life with my ‘weird’ creative brain that’s always on a hamster wheel going 124mph is really challenging.
Heidi offers bite sized actions that are completely realistic and cost nothing to implement (money-wise). I also really appreciated her anecdotes as they were oh-so relatable!
My work is as a full time solo creative, which sounds glamorous, but can be like throwing spaghetti at a wall to see what sticks most days. Couple this with a highly sensitive brain that gets stimuli overloaded easily and distracted, and well, let’s just say, there is spaghetti everywhere.
I’ll be implementing the practices from Heidi’s book for sure!
Best wishes to all fellow creatives out there!

As someone who's seen creatives in their element (and chaos), this audiobook really impressed me with how well it breaks down ADHD-specific strategies in a way that feels natural, not forced. The section on time blindness stood out—it framed the issue in a way that makes sense without being clinical. I also appreciated the part on hyperfocus and how to use it instead of fight it. It doesn’t try to change how your brain works—it works with it.
