Acerca de esta escucha

Meet Mark 'Chopper' Read. You think you know him. His books have sold hundreds of thousands of copies in Australia. He's been the subject of an internationally successful film. His one-man shows have toured Australia to sell-out crowds. He's the most recognisable criminal brand name in Australia. But the truth is, you don't know him at all. Toe-cutter. Blowtorch aficionado. Killer. Husband. Father. Children's author. Stand-up comedian. The real Chopper has been an enigma - until now, that is. This is the definitive Chopper story. One Thing Led to Another is the real story of the man behind the tattoos, the scars and the most famous missing ears in Australia. It is an utterly compelling insight into our most notorious, most recognisable and most fascinating criminal.©2010 Mark Read (P)2010 Bolinda Publishing Crimen Crímenes Reales Comedia Divertido

Mark Brandon Chopper Read was a lot of things: criminal, stand over man, teller of tall tales, but he was never, ever boring. The guy who narrates this book drains all the life out of colorful, wonderful story by reading in such a bland, monotonous manner. He can only seem to spot out six words at a time, pause and throw six more with no regard for punctuation, pace or regard for the story altogether. I’m a fan of Read’s storytelling and have most of his books. I wish I bought this one in paper form. Advice to the publisher’s—don’t ever let this guy narrate another one of your books. He’s not good.

Life stealing narration

I don't know what I was expecting with this book, but whatever it was I don't think I got it. The narrator was very annoying and maybe that affected my judgement, but I did enjoy Chopper's earliest books much better.
