Perfection!

I have fallen in love with this family and Skye and Rob are no exception. This is my favorite type of romance where there is very little angst (a speed bump here and there but no over the top inner dialog), characters who are open to falling in love and not afraid to admit it, plenty of steamy scenes, and a fabulous happily ever after. This is another home run from Layla Hagen.

One Perfect Touch is Skye Winchester and Robert (Rob) Dumont ‘s story and the writing strong, with characters that were easy to relate to and I found myself totally invested in the story that Ms. Hagen wove from the first to the last chapter.
 
This is a book that left me with a smile on my face, it was also steamy and passionate. Rob ticked the boxes for me, hot as sin, an alpha, kind and caring, he set my heart on fire. I loved Skye, she is sassy and feisty and not at all afraid to go after what she wants.

I loved how the relationship between Skye and Rob developed until it becomes impossible to resist and becomes a passionate and explosive love; I also enjoyed the banter between them which added to my enjoyment.

Rob is totally swoon worthy and I have found yet another book boyfriend to add to my collection. The books in this series keep getting better and better and this was one of those books that gave me all the feels, a little gem that I recommend.

A perfect book

Enjoyed every minute of it. Skye and Rob had a fun, easy and sexy banter. And with the support of their families they were able to get rid of their fear of falling in love and it happened naturally. I previously read this book, but enjoyed further listening to it. Maxine and Joe made an amazing narration. I voluntarily reviewed audiobook.

Pleasant romance- no drama from NY Montgomery clan

This is a very light, sexy romance in the series about the NY Montgomery family. This book focuses on lingerie shop owner Sky and a restauranteur named Rob Dumont. Very little drama but plenty of introducing new characters to the story. Narratives as good except Maxine Mitchell’s male voices sound the same- especially Rob and brother Cole. Great for something light and will eventually be an excellent choice for the Escape Package.

Sizzling and Captivating Romance!

I loved this fun, heartwarming, and sizzling romance! Rob and Skye meet when Rob buys the house next door to Skye. They are both successful business owners, and also very close with their families, making their lives busy and complicated. Their instant attraction, and fiery chemistry is new to both of them, and they are helpless not to act on it. Rob is so swoony, and romantic the way he pursues Skye. They have fun together, are supportive, and they connect with family members so easily, making them fall hard and fast for each other. Of course there are always complications with any relationship, and I loved the way they were handled with care, compassion, understanding, and little drama.
Narrators, Joe Arden, and Maxine Mitchell did a fabulous job bringing this story to life. I loved how they made each character come alive with their versatility and talent at voicing both male and female characters flawlessly. They convey so much emotion in their performances that they make this entertaining, and sizzling romance even more captivating.

Ooooooo La La!! C’est magnifique!!

The narration on this book really takes it into the next stratosphere as one of my favorites this year! Joe Arden is one of my top three male narrators. He is incredibly smooth and sexy as heck between the swoon he exudes and the French he speaks during intimate moments. Maxine Mitchell is also wonderful as Skye. She also does a great male voice when it’s her POV. These two make it so easy to get drawn into this story and feel like you are on their journey with them.
I loved every single thing about this book!! Amazing lead characters in Rob & Skye, sweet tender moments, steamy sexy moments, funny moments and so many other memorable moments. The supporting characters are also wonderful.
It's nice to get a love story that is just that, a love story. Layla Hagen takes us away yet again on the wings of a beautiful journey to HEA. No drama, just a nice heartwarming and sexy story of two people who have amazing chemistry and so much in common. They love their families and would do anything for them and vice versa. I love how Rob shows his devotion to his family when he leaves his primo job at his family's LA company to head up the NY branch of the company to be close to his sister and niece so he can watch out for them after her divorce. Good thing too because that is how he meets Skye. They are perfect for each other! I love this couple!
This is an absolutely must listen for anyone who likes drama free sweet and sexy romance with a beautiful HEA and of course amazing narration!

This book is the third in a New York-based series about the Winchester family. It is Skye Winchester and Robert Dumont's story. It is absolutely a stand-alone; however, fans will appreciate learning more about this close-knit family by reading the series in order.

In the first book, much was learned about the downfall of the Winchester family and their Caldwell cousin. That extra insight adds depth to the second and third books, as Ryker and Skye, like their cousin Hunter, are shaped by their past. It makes Ryker's leap from irresistible bachelor to commitment-ready beau all the more real, and explains Skye’s hesitations in a relationship.

Robert Dumont, thirty-three, is returning to New York after four years in L.A. as CEO of Dumont’s West Coast restaurant chain. His sister Anne’s divorce just finalized, and her ex-husband left his position as Dumont’s East Coast CEO. New York had always been home to Rob so the choice is easy. He found a replacement in L.A. and is ready to step into the role of CEO in NYC. He wants to live near Anne and his eight year old niece Lindsay, who are both struggling with the change in their lives. He and Anne are close. They’d had a happy childhood together and he is committed to doing all he can to help.

Skye Winchester, thirty-two, recently took the leap from employee to entrepreneur. She had been a biotech major in college and worked in R&D for several years. Soho Lingerie had started as an online store that she and her sister Tess started together, but after years of juggling a day job and the web store, they took the leap and opened a brick and mortar store in Soho. When Robert looks at yet another home in the suburbs near Anne’s home, there is something about it that calls to him, though it isn’t quite everything he wanted. Moreover, the woman showing the home has captured his attention. When he learns that she has volunteered her time to help her former neighbors, who have fallen on hard times, he is even more taken by her. After living in L.A. for years, he isn’t used to witnessing such selfless generosity and empathy. When Skye sees Robert for the first time, she is overwhelmed by his magnetic pull. But she doesn’t have time for a man in her life, and she definitely doesn’t want to be disappointed again. When Dean, whom she had briefly dated a few months ago, ditched her for being moody right after her investor bailed, it had conjured childhood memories of abandonment.

Neither Rob nor Skye is looking for love, but once Rob sets his sights on Skye all bets are off. Rob is success-oriented and hard to please. His unforgiving attitude works well in the workplace, where he always gets what he wants. He is a natural leader, and people listen. But he doesn’t mix business and pleasure. Outside of work he is protective and family-oriented. He hasn’t had a steady girlfriend since high school; he is instead focused on the company and his family. But he never misleads a woman. He instantly knows he wants Skye, but he finds himself wanting everything. Perhaps seeing what happened to Anne had touched him so deeply that his heart had been opened enough to allow love to quietly take hold.

Rob makes Skye feel desired again, but she doesn’t get ahead of herself by thinking about a future with him. She hasn’t had a longer term relationship since college, and her experience informs her that no man will value her enough to stick around long term. But she is an optimist, so she makes the most of her time with Rob without letting fear control her.

The couple has incredible chemistry that takes them both by surprise. What makes this story special is Rob and Skye’s selfless instincts towards one another. Neither has the experience nor the desire to begin a relationship, but they seamlessly slip into a loving and supportive one together. Rob’s niece Lindsay faces the same abandonment issues that Skye had faced as a child, so Rob’s protective stance toward Lindsay is easily transferred to Skye. A realistic romance, there is no wild drama for shock effect. They face challenges, but their shared love of family and empathy for others serve to help them weather the obstacles. Their relationship grows and blossoms into a mature love – despite a few surprises! They earn a lovely happy ending.

Love finds Rob and Skye in this sweet and steamy next door neighbor romance. The book is very well-written. The plot is fairly simple but realistic. The characters are well-defined. There is a large cast of characters which appear in the other books of the series. Several characters seem poised for books of their own. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Rob and Skye. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

As for the audiobook: is it well-performed by both narrators and is consistent with the book.

Sweet Romance!

This is the third book in the Series, a standalone romance in the Series. I haven't listened to the first audiobooks in the Series yet. Robert and Skye's story is fun, sweet, sexy, and beautiful. They share an instant attration, and a sizzling chemistry. They are both great characters. Robert is handsome, and caring. Skye is beautiful, strong, and independent. I loved to follow them in their beautiful journey! This refreshing story, drama free, is the perfect Summer read. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed it!

I really loved Sky and Rob's story.

one of my favorite things with Layla's books is how she integrates the whole family into the story. While each couple has their own story, you still hear about the whole family throughout the book for the whole series. This is one of the reasons why I love Layla's books so much.

This book definitely kept me hooked wanting to know what was going to happen next. Sky and Rob had an amazing chemistry right from the beginning.

I can't wait for the next story of this series.
