Mr. Cook

I loved this series and all the characters. A side character was Mr. Cook and he was really special. We all need a Mr. Cook in our lives. The story was interesting, inspiring and kept me engaged.

Special Interests

I really enjoyed all three stories. Of special interest was the character of Mr. Cook. I’ve been fortunate to have had two of these types of mentors and am very blessed. Thanks to Ms. Blackburn and Ms. Forbes!

I loved the heart and message of this story. Anissa and Mr. Cook’s conversation on his porch is incredibly insightful!

Great mystery story and well written

Unlike many of the Christian mystery writers, Lynn Blackburn, knows how to write a mystery, without overdoing on solid mush romance with little or none of the mystery. I really enjoyed this one!

why do all Christian "suspense" or mystery writers

all skip the mystery or suspense part? Blackburn, Harmon, Blackstock and all the others follow the same formula book and after book. page 1 girl finds some trouble--she may be a cop, but she is very weak. page 4. stronge man appears on scene. page 8-end girl and strong man are attracted to each other in the most bizarre ways and all dialogue is abt that. toss in a random near death moment related to the mystery and strong man saves the day, even though he is already injured. insecure weak girl and strong man occly pray or talk abt going to church. Weak girl and strong man officially fall in love. the end.
