Amazing author

This is an AMAZING story as well as an AMAZING author NOT ONLY THAT, The Narrator TOTALLY ROCKS!! I've listened to A LOT OF BOOKS BY Valerie Gilbert & SHE'S GREAT!!! Claudy Conn is Truly a Great Story Teller!!

What an enriching addition!

I loved being able to listen to this as I read along! It was very relaxing to listen to Valerie's voice narrating the amazing story Claudy Conn crafted. I am a big fan of romances and Claudy continuously delivers outstanding stories with characters that just draw you in and take hold not only of your imagination, but of your heart.

What made the experience of listening to Oh, Cherry Ripe the most enjoyable?

Listening to this in audio made the story even more enjoyable than reading it. You could really hear the emotions and understand the dialect a lot better. Claudy has written another great story. I always fall in love with the characters in each of her books. Very quickly I might add. Cherry is a deceitful young woman and though she doesn't know it at the time, it's actually good that she lied about who she was. This story proves that love always wins in the end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Oh, Cherry Ripe?

I really loved how the children, Felix and Francine, connected to Cherry almost immediately. I also love how she met Sky before becoming the children's governess.

What about Valerie Gilbert’s performance did you like?

Valerie's voice was very smooth and engaging.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment that moved me in Oh Cherry Ripe was when Sky went looking for her after she took off and went back home. I love how he just accepted who she was and wasn't angry for her lying to him.

Claudy is a great author. If you haven't read any of her books, you need to do so ASAP.

I read the kindle version of this book and absolutely loved it so I just had to listen to it as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Cherry. I love all Claudy Conn's strong willed heroines.

Have you listened to any of Valerie Gilbert’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't but I thoroughly enjoyed her narration.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I enjoyed the whole book as I always do with Claudy Conn's stories.

I just have to say that I am addicted to Claudy Conn's historicals. Her writing and attention to detail always make for an amazing read. Claudy is one author who never disappoints.
Cherry is a very headstrong woman who has been told by her mother that she is promised to a gentleman whom she has never met. Cherry doesn't want anything to do with marrying this man and instead runs away. She bumps into Sky, a wealthy man in need of a wife to help raise his unruly younger siblings. Sky has agreed to to marry a woman he has never met, but when he runs into Cherry all he wants is to get to know her better. Sky hires Cherry to be his sibling's governess and and no longer wants to marry the woman he had agreed to.
This book will have you laughing and I love the attraction between Cherry and Sky. If you like historicals with a little romance, and a little humor than this is your book.

Great story. Great Narration!

What a fun read. I really liked the heroine Cherry, she was strong, funny, witty, didn't take any crap from anyone. I liked the story line and the all the secondary characters. The chemistry between Cherry and Sky was great, there was some great sex and lots and lots of dialogue. (I love dialogue in books).

This story was fairly short so it wasn't full of fillers, moved along very nicely and flowed very well.

As for the narration, She did a fantastic job. All the men sounded like men, and everyone had their own distinct voice. She read with feeling and emotion. Great job Valerie Gilbert. I would definitely listen to her again!
