Very suspenseful
This is the second book in the series and it was great. Its about John and Brittany and how they help each other heal after the death of her brother. Lots of suspense and secrets and lots of steam too. Can't wait for the next one! Charles Lawrence did a fantastic job with the narration.

Great Listen!
I have always enjoyed Monica McCarty's books and this new series, Off the Grid, is another hit for her.
It grabs your interest, the narration is great. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

I wish we were back in the Highlands...
I've read and enjoyed most of this author's Highland publications but I did not make it past Chapter 6 with this story. John is a disgusting *ss and Brittany is an ever swooning doormat. I don't like either one of them and at this point I really don't care what happens to them.
In conclusion, the narrator dud a good job!!!

Almost couldn’t stand to listen
If the purpose of this book was to see how many irrational, immature, selfish, lying and deceitful people they could put into one book, then this story would get a gold medal. Unfortunately that’s not the kind of characters I like to read about. I listened to this story because it’s a continuation of the first book and you have to read all three books to get the conclusion of the main conflict and the three books are filled with several side stories. These personal supposed romances are all toxic and immature. And how many times does someone have to be told that what they are doing could potentially get people killed before they realize their actions might have consequences for others? I wouldn’t have made it past chapter 6 if I wasn’t invested in finding out who was responsible for the main conflict of these stories. I skipped some chapters and listened at 2x speed because I just wanted it to be over. I didn’t care for Brittany and Kate’s lies by omission are unforgivable and cowardly to me.
