Resumen del Editor

Archer Hamilton is a collector of rare and beautiful insects. Gina Shaw is a servant in his uncle's house. Clearly out of place in the position in which she has been discovered, she becomes a source of fascination...and curiosity.

A girl with a blighted past and a fortune she deems a curse, Gina has lowered herself in order to find escape from her family and their scheming designs. But when she is found, the stakes suddenly become dire.

All Gina wants is the freedom to live her life as she would wish. All her aunts want is the money that comes with her. But there is more than one way to trap an insect. An arranged marriage might turn out profitable for more parties than one.

Mr. Hamilton is about to make the acquisition of a lifetime. But will the price be worth it? Can a woman captured and acquired learn to love the man who has bought her?

good story

I only wish the sentences were longer and the narrator paused less between sentences. As it is, the telling is staccato.

Great narration

I enjoy a long book, so I didn't mind the 20 hr, 44min run time. The plot kept me engrossed until the very end. Rachel P. Jenkins is a fantastic narrator and I hope she narrates some other books soon!

Horrible, long, BORING story

Story was just not good. struggled, really struggled to finish, waste of time. Main character willing enters into agreement w/ uncle of prostitution, then does nothing to save him from fatal accident, she then plays the victim. Openly admits to wanting the attentions of her uncle's clients and that he (uncle) never forced her to participate, inherits a fortune, runs from it, even through she earned every last dime of it. She could have run away prior to the prostitution job, like when the uncle was behaving weird-sounds like a good time to me. This runway could have happen before she did nothing to save he uncle from certain death. The lunacy continues with her "don't touch me/chase behavior", post prostitution, she then has desires for her cousin, all pretty sick really. The author never places real blame on the character, just her guilt, which of course is to be discourage, never her fault. Now mind you this is all set in the 1800's. How in world did this book get past the editors or publisher's-I don't know, but you should know before you waste a credit or cash!!!

Tedious at best.

Story drug on and on. Dialog was silly. One word sentences, too many pages worth. There was not one character that made you want to like them. Very much disliked this book. The actress reading was good.
