Wonderful world building!
This captivating series caught my Attention on a forum discussing the lack of latinx culture in fantasy novels. Took awhile to get going but never boring. She wove a beautiful love story and political commentary into a powerful, fun and exciting story. I can’t believe theres not any reviews yet! The narrator did a great job with the voices to the point I forgot it was one person. The voices weren’t cheesy or forced as some are. It’s billed as YA but to be honest it has some really dark even horror aspects and great sexual tension without being gratuitous. Lyrical and colorful story telling but simple and straightforward as well. I literally can NOT wait for the last book as we were left on a CRAZY cliffhanger! No release date yet but I’m waiting on the edge of my seat! Thanks to the author for the exciting distraction and hurry up I need to find out what happens!!!

Alfie is sweet but so naive
Prince Alfie is sweet and thinks the world of his parents and his kingdom. He is still too naive and needs his parents wisdom, but when a neighboring attends a peace summit to stop the caste system---hell breaks loose. Good storyline and wonderful characters.
