Oh the edge of my seat

Again Bobby has brought the characters to life and has them in such predicaments. I really lik e seeing it in both the Colorado and Florida Keys and the traveling in between. It was fun for one location from another series was passed by one of the characters trying to get home. And I'm glad that section that showed the bad guy so much had a conclusion I could live with. But, darn if just when I was expecting the next seen to get started good Kevin stopped reading. Now I have to wait for the next book.
But this is a really good series and as always Kevin Pierce makes it sound great. Now to go re-listen to other Bobby Akart books until the next part of this series comes out. (Yes, I do re-read and re-listen to my favorites. Bobby Akart and Kevin Pierce fall within that category.)

As always Bobby Akart delivers a great story with real science and fact to support it.

Brutal realism without the ugly stuff

First off, Kevin Pierce is one of those narrators who has a relaxing voice but who can take you along for the ride and keep you entertained; he does really well with TEOTWAWKI style novels and this is no exception. This continuing story take us deeper into Society's fall as the nuclear winter begins to really take hold and massive population surges to the South to find relief grow, causing additional problems for our main characters and their attempts to get home. But their struggles aren't without tragedy. One can see oneself in any of the main characters, feeling the struggle to survive and trying to avoid mistakes. I'm looking forward to the next book as this one left with a slight cliffhanger that makes me want to know what happens next. who knows if reality would be similar to what we read here, or not. The real-world impact of Nuclear EMP to the electrical grid and our primary means of transportation may, or may not, be exactly as depicted here, depending on many factors, but nevertheless this is pretty close to what may actually occur - so it's worth listening to and keeping in the back of your mind.

Another hit

Another hit, I have yet to be disappointed with anything I have read from this author, and the narrator Kevin Pierce is the icing.

Great Series!

I read the whole series and loved it. Narrated by Kevin Pierce, one of my two favorite narrators.

Good summer read (listen), however….

I’m enjoying this series. Serious and timely topic with an interesting family drama. But didn’t realize in advance that this would cost me 5 credits. When you can listen to a more substantive book for one credit, this leaves a bad taste towards author and Audible. But now I’m hooked!

Intensely suspenful

The characters were so well developed that they felt like your own family or a friend. The narrator masterfully navigates the highs and lows.

Another excellent series from Bobby Akart

Per usual author Bobby Akart brings together a fresh story to an apocalypse. I’ve found all of his books engaging, entertaining, with hints of good advice.

If you’re looking for a post-apocalyptic series with a totally different angle I highly recommend The Whiteout Series.

Loved

I loved this book by Bobby Akart. I also loved the characters. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I would recommend this book and all of Bobby’s books. I listened to this book on audiobook
