Heartbreaking

While Maggie’s story is heartbreaking, she tells it with such an honest and respectful manner that you feel you are with her and her children during this time of crisis and secrecy in our society. I am so glad that her children have gotten to know the father the lost, that Maggie was able to find a partner in Dave that she needed, and that she too was able to overcome her husband’s infidelity and secrets. Such a strong woman.

Love this book

Not always a fan of memoirs, this book touched my heart and soul. I appreciate Maggie’s open and honest story of her life with her husband and family and the secret they kept for many, many years. The narration was great! Bravo!!!!

Blew me away

This is running the powerful book. I did not expect it. The author is a beautiful writer. The story is engrossing. It reminds of how bad things were in the 80s and 90s for those with HIV and AIDS. My only critique of the narrator is that she read very fast, and she was outstanding. And my only critique of the book is that I wish she had been longer.

I sobbed

This book really opened my eyes to the intimate horrors of the AIDS epidemic and how severely stigmatized aids patients were. Heartbreaking. fantastic memoir.
