I did not know much about norse mythology and this helps condense a lot of it to make it simpler to understand

As a budding creator of fictitious works, I often take a huge amount of inspiration from mythology from all over the globe, and Norse mythology was an area I had not pillaged just yet. An example of these kinds of world mythologies being used for inspiration in fictitious works would be video games from an era long gone by that would mix elements of Greek, Norse, Japanese and European mythology, horror, and sci-fi all in one! One minute you might be fighting a Frankenstein type boss, the next minute, you are battling floating Medusa heads (a Greek mythological beast with snakes for hair). And because I like to absorb this stuff on the go to get that imaginative inspirational energy flowing, Anthony Poe has, in my opinion, done a fantastic job of plunging the listener into a re-listenable world of Valkyries, Thunder gods, ancient religions and rituals, magic, and more, that will have all of us ‘Vikings' (Netflix show) fans finally understanding what all the characters of that show were talking about! To Valhalla!

I’ve been interested in Norse Mythology for some time. I’ve always enjoyed movies and stories of the like but this book is a captivating journey through the Norse cosmos. It was a perfect book for anyone anyone seeking a fresh perspective on the Norse Mythology . This was a masterful guide to this fascinating world and it has sparked a new found interest in the topic. There is so much history that I wasn’t aware of and enjoyed the book! Thank you!

An Entertaining Primer on Norse Gods & Goddesses

This primer on Norse Gods and Goddesses is entertaining. Now I have a better understanding of them, their characteristics, culture, and symbols. It's a welcome change from Greek mythology, though I see some common themes with destruction and creation, as well as the respect of nature and the divine. I can watch Viking movies with my husband and not annoy him with all my questions about the backstory!
