This is a fantastic compilation of Novellas!

The first and main event is “Nobody Does it Better” This is the third story in the series that follows “Best Laid Plans” and “The Feel Good Factor” Each CAN be a stand-alone read. The series follows three best girl-friends, Arden, Perry and Vanessa and their love stories. I would recommend reading them all because they are wonderful, but it is not required, you can jump in anywhere really. (But you’d miss out on so much great writing and narrating!)

Shaw and Vanessa have been dancing around their attraction for years. Since Shaw is Vanessa’s best friend Perry’s brother, it never seemed possible. Until one night in a cabin, and a snow storm. Erin Mallon and Joe Arden deliver deliciousness straight into your ears. You get all kinds of “Joe Voice” ridiculously jealous, light hearted and witty to outright sexy. Erin Mallon, is as always, perfection, you can’t help but fall in love with her voice. . I loved the story line on this one, paired by a match maker, these two go on a first date at an escape room. Again, the banter and wit are superior, and the hot parts – are hot. It’s your shot to go on a date with Andi & Joe, it’s too fun to say no. Go Ahead put Joe Arden in your ears, they will thank you.

Once Upon a Red Hot Kiss: Narrated by Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon.
A novella from the Heartbreakers Series, Macy & Kirby flirt around Valentine’s day. Well…. Macy Loves V-Day Kirby is all against it, typically cynical. Jason Clarke’s voice is divinely sexy, you’ll melt for him. When the spark ignites between these two, you’re rooting for them to find their happy ending.

Finally you get “A Little Big Rock” The prequel Novella to Bigger Rock. Oh My! This lends some insight into Spencer and Charlotte's romantic beginnings and what a Cad Bradley is. You get Sebastian York, Joe Arden, Erin Mallon and Andi Arndt on this novella. Just those names alone made me want to listen! As the Big Rock series was narrated by York (solo) it was fun to listen to a multi cast give voices to these characters.

Everybody does it

Well I will say that I was disappointed that the story of Shaw and Vanessa wasn’t the big,bang that I was hoping for,that being said.. I still enjoyed their fast paced (but not”really”)fast paced romance and the incorporation of the other short novellas I got to listen to that peeked my interest in other stories.I think though that the”novellas”should be included with the final story in the series just to keep things in perspective and not to confuse the listeners with other characters from other stories.Yes these stories can be stand alone,but if you love them as much as I do,you want to see all the characters happily ever afters.Great job to all the narrators involved in keeping these stories entertaining.

It was the perfect way to end the series!

This was a short novella. It was sweet, funny and sexy. The 2 main characters Shaw and Vanessa were familiar as we had met them in previous books. Their chemistry was off the charts. The story was light not angsty at all. As for the narration it was awesome. The full cast gave the characters in the stories body and made them more believable.

A delightful collection of novellas with sweetness and heat!

Nobody Does It Better is the first in this boxed set of novellas from Lauren Blakely. Vanessa has had a crush on Shaw, her best friend, Perri’s brother, since they were in middle school. Even now, as they approach their 30s, the mutual attraction shows no sign of fading. They have had a couple of stolen moments over the years but both feel like it would be a betrayal of Perri for them to pursue a relationship.

The idea of an “off limits” love interest is not new but Lauren Blakely knows comedy and both Joe Arden and Erin Mallon deliver the snappy dialogue with impeccable timing so the story never seems stale.

Shaw has a reputation as a ladies man and jokester but there is so much more to his character. There is a scene late in the novella where Joe Arden does such a beautiful job showing Shaw’s vulnerabilities during a conversation he has with his sister as he explains how he has relied on humor as a means of stress relief to help him cope with the stress of his job as a firefighter.
As much as I enjoyed the humor in the story, there is no shortage of heat. And knowing how long Vanessa and Shaw have been pining for each other helps you to really feel the emotional connection between them.

The next novella featured in this box set is Too Good to Be True (a Come As You Are prequel) which tells the story of how Olivia and Herb fell in love with Joe Arden and Andi Arndt narrating. This was a really sweet story. They meet through a matchmaker and it seems perfect from the start until Olivia’s insecurities cause complications. The narrators both do a terrific job and you definitely root for them to get to their happily ever after.

Once Upon A Red Hot Kiss is Macy and Kirby’s story -- they are featured characters in the Hearbreakers Series. Macy (Erin Mallon) helps Kirby (Jason Clarke) conquer his hatred of Valentine’s Day and his fear of making the jump from friendship to love. Jason Clarke really delivers on this one. He is the perfect Kirby!

This box set concludes with A Little Big Rock. If you loved Big Rock, it will be a treat for you to hear more of Charlotte and Spencer’s history. This short story features Sebastian York, Andi Arndt, Joe Arden and Erin Mallon.

All in all, the Nobody Does It Better boxed set is a treat to your ears. Each story gives you just what you expect from Lauren Blakely. Loveable characters, whip smart dialogue, laugh out loud humor, and swoon-worthy romance. The stellar cast of narrators take her stories to new levels and I was just happy to be along for the ride.

Held my interest from the state to finish. some stories take me a few chapters to get in to but not this one. Read all Lauren Blakely stories.

Sometimes you just need a push

The classic case of forbidden love... best friend’s brother... only the brother is also in on the forbidden love. Meet Shaw and Vanessa... they have been pining for each other for over a decade but Shaw’s sister is totally against it. A snowstorm and some meddling from friends and crazy old women bring these two to right where they belong... in each other’s arms.

I have a list of narrators that I search for regularly... Joe Arden being one of them. His storytelling is unlike anyone I’ve listened to. He puts himself into the character and the passion that he gives the story... sigh. This is my first time listening to Erin Mallon and I absolutely loved it. So many times I cringe when female narrators need to read male POV but this was not one of those times. It sounds strange but she was able to make me believe it could have been a man talking.

Of course Lauren Blakely created an amazing story which makes the narration that much better!

My love for Joe and Erin proven correct once more!

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon bring Shaw and Vanessa to life in the latest installment from Lauren Blakely. We are back to the firehouse, where Shaw the Playboy sees his friends and family settling down, but has yet to find his own partner....or has he? He and his sister Perri's lifelong friends Vanessa have had a few "special moments", (not that he would let Perri find out!) but he doesn't want to risk his best friendship when he knows he can't commit.

However, quirky beautiful Vanessa has had it bad for Shaw for years but KNOWS girls never last with him. Their chemistry is off the charts, but she starts to feel a little too taken for granted. What happens when the town naughty book club ladies try to set Vanessa up with someone who could potentially be a forever mate? What does Shaw have to say about that??? He for sure doesn't care for the weird feeling he has seeing Vanessa smiling at somebody else....

Joe Arden is always amazing, delivers all the feels, but he does a spectacular job with Shaw, making him the lovable best friend, albeit giant Playboy when it comes to women. His voice inflections and the feeling he puts behind the voice of Shaw lets you feel Shaw's indecision and nervousness in losing the best thing in his life, AND risking his sister's undoubted wrath if he hurt Vanessa. Joe has a special quality when he narrates that brings the story to life. He doesn't just read the story.

Erin Mallon is perfect as the strong and sassy heroine. She is successful by herself but longs for the same love both her friends have found. Erin's voice has a beautiful tone and she's spectacular at doing the voices of both male and female characters so that it doesn't distract from the story.

I loved the sassy book ladies and was so happy the guest narrators made such a cute appearance! The added bonus novellas were exciting since I LOVED the other books in each series. The narrators for each were fabulous and part of my regular list of must haves!

Having Joe Arden, Erin Mallon, Andi Arndt, Jason Clarke, Carly Robins along with guests Savannah Peachwood and Virgina Rose’s whispering sweet sexy stories to you each evening is the best way to get ready for a great night of dreaming of happy endings and sexy voices.

Nobody Does it Better and the Novella’s that followed are just what a girl needs to finish off her day.

So many thanks go to Lauren and all the amazing narrators. If they only gave us a choice of more stars I know I would be able to give more than 5!

An entertaining, fun and sexy listen!

Lauren Blakely does it again with this funny, touching story of friendship and love. It's a refreshing tale of the "off limits" brother, combined with scheming to bring the hearts of those in love together. The passion is high and the sexiness is hot! Ms. Blakely's talent for humor, sarcasm and witty banter is in full force with this story and it is GREAT!

The different narrators voices and talents brought so much entertainment, I enjoyed hearing the different character's voices coming to life; but the performances of Joe Arden and Erin Mallon really deserve high praises for their work. It was so fun to listen to Joe's voice with his humor and laughter tones; when he says the word "jelly" you can't help but smile (that whole scene is wonderful!). Erin does a phenomenal job as Vanessa; her love for Shaw is heard in each of her words.

This story won't disappoint! It will leave you feeling good and happy about love.

Each book I listen to by Lauren Blakely just keeps getting better and better. I don't know if it is the characters that I am falling for each time I listen, or the amazing narration I get to listen to. This collection of novellas was just one fun, sexy listen after another and I couldn't get enough! It starts with Nobody Does It Better with Erin Mallon and Joe Arden. We get Vanessa and Shaw's story along with cameos of from the book club ladies. I was laughing out loud with each of their text sessions! Next, we have Once Upon a Red Hot Kiss with Macy and Kirby's story. These are from the Heartbreaker's series and with narration by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon, this couple is sizzling! Following next is Too Good to be True, and I loved RC Bray and Andi Arndt as they brought Avery and Flynn to life. This was my favorite of the novellas if I had to pick. Fun, flirty and sexy, these two were incredible. Carly Robins and Jason Clarke round out the 4 new novellas with Caught up in Her as we get to hear Cat and Brian with best friend's sister romance. Hot, sweet and full of passion, this story is so much fun. It doesn't end there though, Blakely gives us Little Big Rock at the end as a little of Charlotte's point of view with this prequel to Big Rock. I loved each and every one of these stories, all low angst, passionate and sexy. They are the best kinds of listens that leave you with that warm and happy feeling, and just want more!
