Resumen del Editor

“The internet’s best friend.” (Flare)

From the author of the popular newsletter That’s What She Said, Nobody Cares is a frank, funny personal essay collection about work, failure, friendship, and the messy business of being alive in your 20s and 30s.

As she shares her hard-won insights from screwing up, growing up, and trying to find her own path, Anne T. Donahue’s debut book offers all the honesty, laughs, and reassurance of a late-night phone call with your best friend. Whether she’s giving a signature pep talk, railing against summer, or describing her own mental health struggles, Anne reminds us that failure is normal, saying no to things is liberating, and that we’re all a bunch of beautiful disasters - and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“Anne T. Donahue's thoughtful book is hilarious and honest - it makes me uncomfortable in the most brilliant and relatable way.” (Gabourey Sidibe, actor and author of This Is Just My Face)

"I don't know how anyone could read her and not immediately fall in love.” (Scaachi Koul, best-selling author of One Day We’ll All Be Dead and None of This Will Matter)

“Brutally honest and ridiculously relatable, Nobody Cares takes you on a winding road trip through Anne's life and makes you want to go back in time to visit your younger self - not to impart words of wisdom, but to admire that awkward, stumbling, beautiful person you were.” (Cobie Smulders, actress)

So relatable, so funny — no matter your age!

I have LOVED listening to this hilarious, honest, carefully observed take on a life that hasn't always been easy — but that has always been worth living.

It has given me a new way to look at my own life and the lives of my kids, who are just a little younger than the author.

My only complaint? I wish it was about twice as long.

Please write more, Anne!

Millennial Canadian

It was fine, I did find it interesting to read someone's point of view who hasn't succeeded at the traditional uni route or moving to the city to maker herself and I appreciated her honesty about that. I think I am so fascinated by modern Canadians because it's amazing to read what life would look like if you didn't have to worry about health insurance or student loan debt (tbf - she ran up a line of credit and a Visa in this memoir and paid it off, but I mean, I have spent the past 6 years paying of cc debt and student loan debt and am scared to take risks if I didn't know where my health insurance was coming from, so that's where I see the millennial US/Canadian divide).
