A profound look back into history.

Considering the book was originally published in 1874 it is still gripping today. Well narrated and well written. An enjoyable book.

This is a brilliantly written novel

What made the experience of listening to Ninety-Three the most enjoyable?

This is my first introduction to Victor Hugo. I had no idea what a brilliant author he was. The characters are really captivating, and the plot tense and exciting. I was listening to this book on my iPod while fishing with tears running down my face. It has been weeks since I finished this book, and I still think about it. I really like this book.

very demanding, very rewarding

both the listen and the text are not easy. hugo, and in a way, the narrator, has a way of circumlocuting and exhusting - but if you can ignor that, when you reach the end, you feel uplifted, learnd, moved.

My Favorite Audiobook so far!

This is a great book and well narrated. I'm almost finished listening to it for the second time and am enjoying it even more this time than I did the first time. FIVE STARS!

One of the best things ever made by human hands and minds. A damn good book.

Never again

I will never again listen to a book read by Frederick Davidson. After Le Miserable' I knew I had to buy 93. But almost quit listening as soon as I started because of the nasally unimpassioned voice of Davidson. I truly had to force myself to stay with this one to the end. If you can find this book read by anyone else, buy it instead. This could have been so much better if not for the narrator.

Hugo's 93

Written a century after the events described, each character is modern and fascinating, while the author rivets the attention of the reader on each of them. Hugo is master.

I only listened to the sample.

but the narrator was so bad I feel qualified to give it a bad review. he sounds like every male Disney villain combined. He makes me feel like I failed preschool every time he upons his mouth. if I where you I would buy it hardcover, it's worth the extra money.

To know the future

The greatest novel I have listened to in all my life. The pronunciation is flawless, the inflections superb. The content is required reading for the future of civilized man. The theme is more relevant now than ever. What does freedom require? The knowledge of man as a rational being and that motivations of individuals matter.
