Alizhan spent her life in service to Iriyat ha-Varensi as a mind-reading thief of secrets - until she uncovered Iriyat’s crimes. Really great follow up!
I was a big fan of the first book but there were times where the pacing felt a little.. off. In this second book it feels like that’s really improved!
I love the queer elements and the brewing polyam love story makes me feel so nice.
The only reason it’s not a 5 star story is that the end felt just a tiny bit sudden, it honestly feels like there books might have worked better as 3 parts of a single door stopper, but I understand why they didn’t do that
In the end great love story, fun intrigue, and really inventive world building!
