The narration of these multiple incidents is gripping and interesting. The book redefines the rules of friendship between two best friends. Written in an easy to understand and friendly tone, you will be able to relate with the characters in the book if you've ever experienced a close friendship. It lays out a long list of crazy things like dancing with her in your boxers, crying on his shoulder when you break up, boring her with football talk at 3 a.m. and a lot more. The book also posts a staggering question. What happens when it doesn't work out between you and your best friend? Will you lose out on this friendship as well?

Immature with a terrible ending

The first issue I had with this was that it jumped around in time so much that I had a difficult time keeping up with where we were in the story. It's only 200 pages, we don't need 6 different points in time. I also felt like Tanie and Sumer were so immature, always getting drunk, fighting with each other, and emotionally all over the place. The story didn't have a strong plot and the ending felt unnecessary. I didn't love the book before the end, but it really ruined it for me. There was a lot of Indian culture and the narrator did a good job with that part of it. It just wasn't for me.

Excellent Everything!

The writing, the story, the characters, the settings and scenes, the narrator...all of it excellent! The only disappointing part was that I had to wade through ALL the Audible Escape titles that show up in the app just to find this gem! Seriously, the algorithm for Audible Escape is entirely too white leaning and I know there are far more diverse stories in the Audible catalogue when a non-white race specific search is done (sucks to even have to admit that that’s the only way to find stories by a more diverse set of authors and backgrounds). That noted, this title is as good as anything written by Helena Hunting, Helen Hoang, Ibi Zoboi, Penny Reid, Jasmine Guillory. Good energy and a take on coming of age in India that is really no different from anywhere else in the world. Much enjoyed how Kavita Kaur acted this out! I’d listen to any other read by her!

Heartwarming.

Kept me listening overnight and the next morning until I finished it. A must read.
