Overall short book with entertaining stories of strange encounters. Mostly Bigfoot type stories. I enjoyed it.

Very interesting Sasquatch sightings in Nat. Parks

Very, very interesting if you are interested in Bigfoot encounters. The virtual Narration sounds perfectly human, without mispronunciations or other errors, and is very pleasant to listen to.

The book is made up of many matter-of-fact recitations of National Parks Ranger Incident-Reports, from a wide range of parks and years. That sounds like a recipe for boring bureaucratic droning. Instead, the reports are very articulate in summarizing visitors dramatic and very believable stories of encountering odd creatures - Sasquatch-like beings in remote parts of the parks. Some other types of sightings are included, but the vast majority are of large, hairy, human-like animals.

A side note:

These reports show our National Park Rangers' uniform professionalism; they relay each reported encounter in a clinical, factual manner always respectful of the usually terrified visitors. They describe each person's physical and psychological condition, whether they were on drugs or alcohol, and provide sophisticated outlining of related facts, including any indications which tend to buttress the claimed event. In the end they recommend low-key, sensible follow-up steps for visitor safety - increased ranger patrols in the sighting spot, setting up trail cameras to monitor the section more carefully, and warning visitors to avoid solo hiking in the area, as most of the encounters involve the beast driving humans away.

In each case, when alerted in real time, the rangers always rush to the site to protect the visitor and then conduct an immediate on-site investigation. Racing up a remote wilderness trail at night to reach someone radioing that they are seeing a huge monster takes courage. They will accompany terrified visitors back to the site so they can gather their gear.
