Love the characters and their voices and especially Hanna. Too bad we couldn’t actually meet them all.
I may not like the language but understand how it fits the character and mood of the moment.

Entertaining
The story was pretty good, but the narrator is too monotonal and sometimes makes it hard to follow. A few gaps in the story line left me with some questions.

Great characters
Really enjoyed the fast paced story and loved the different characters. I would love to see this author continue with a book series featuring these characters.

Nail's Crossing
This is a very good Mystery Western book. Bill Maytubby and Hannah Bond teams up together. They cover a lot of territory. This book holds your interest from the beginning to the end. This is the first book in the series. I highly recommend this if you like mysteries or westerns. It’s okay
I found the first half of the book hard to follow and a little boring. The second half was much better. I’m thinking about giving book 2 a try.

Excellent
Narrator great. Story great. Characters GREAT. Writing great. Kris Lackey writes wonderful, atmospheric modern western police — what would you call them? Procedural? That’s not the right word. These books are not to be missed.
