Could have been better
Good, not great. Patterson used to be my favorite writer until he started doing too much. His stories were much more researched and thought out. Now they are good, but seem to be written to get them written, not because he loves writing them. Women's Murder Club series is still quality, but to me the others are missing that unique James Patterson edge that used to be there.

Exactly what I was expecting. Nothing more nothing less. A good read. not necessarily one that will keep you turning from page to page but one that you can put down and pick up again without concern a remembering where you left off.

Great Addition to the NYPDRED Series
It is not uncommon for books in a series to decline in quality after the first 1 or 2 books. Not so in this case. The book was very enjoyable with a lot of nail-biting moments. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good cop story.

Quick listen: Good story
The NYPD Red books are enjoyable stories. They are not the sweet and simple stories similar to Joanne Fluke's series; they aren't the dark and tense stories similar to John Sandford's Prey series. These books are straight forward detective mysteries with some twists and surprises but no gore. The stories are a bit formulaic, but the two lead detectives are interesting characters and the books will keep you listening.
Edoardo Ballerini is fantastic, as usual.
