Our feelings for each other have never been in doubt, but we have a lot riding against us. I'm not out, my manager is giving me trouble, my family needs me, and my anxiety is worse than ever. Law's there for me with his love, support, and a group of friends who accept me into the fold. But he can't be a secret forever, and I can't lose him again, even if it means risking it all and jeopardizing what's always defined me - my music.

wonderful!

There should be a warning label. Beware! Crying hazard ahead. Seriously, this was great and beautiful and all the praise. BUT, you will end up in tears. Happy tears. Sad tears. All the feels. I was not prepared to for all the emotions. Then again, shouldn't every book make us feel things? This one does.

Kale Williams delivers this book in the best way!

With a lessor narrator, this might have been a three star overall. The story is generally fine, but Hart has committed to a series, so a lot of time is devoted to building interest in the next books. I do like a broken heart, second chance trope, and this has some great feels, but in order to plug the next two books, those other guys needs to be trotted out over and over.

Not surprisingly, Williams does a great job establishing the leads and navigating a diverse supporting cast. The material could really slip to camp when all the guys are together, but Williams avoids that completely. He also has a really large group of women to voice, and he lands that challenge well.

Hart successfully sets up the relationship between Remy and Law, alternating past and present to establish Remy's struggles and Law's successes. The rhythm slips as Remy's orbit comes to the forefront - they just don't work as well as Law's. And I don't mean Law's friend circle. Fortunately, Hart does a good job with her characters and the book stays more or less on course. For me, Risk The Fall or Wild At Heart are the best examples of Hart's books, and Murphy's Law has some of that energy, but RTF/WAH are standalones, with no extemporaneous connections needed to sell future books in the series. That is why I will still defer to a standalone.

This does fall into the recommended column, it hits the right notes and Williams doesn't miss a beat. Will I invest in the rest of the series? Unlikely.

Sweet Story

There is a story that sometimes will touch your heart 💓 and this story touch mine. I love 💕 it. The narrator is a favorite of mine he brought the characters to life. There is a song toward the end that the words are beautiful it's called Soft Place to Fall the words came from the heart.

Remy and Law’s Story is Beautifully Written and Performed!

I really enjoyed Remy and Law’s story. It was a great addition to the series and I even found myself tearing up, especially at the end. Law I adored right away and Remy was so tortured you couldn’t help but want to hug him. I loved the connection between the two of them, though I have to say it took me a bit to get used to the jumping to the past so often in the beginning of the book. Overall though it was a really enjoyable story, and I really liked the way it set up to the third story which I actually read first in the series. Kale Williams did a fantastic job narrating as well, he’s great in making the characters sound distinguishable, even all the secondary characters. Looking forward to listening to the remaining story I have left in this series.

Best one yet by far

Great book, low angst but still full of difficult emotions and complex characters. So many beautiful words in this one. My favorite is the series by far.

The Siren and The Muse

Book 2 in the series is a sweet romance Lawson meets and is drawn to an aspiring Songwriter and Singer at s local coffee house and spends time with him during Lawson's college years inspiring and becoming the Singer Writer's Muse and Lover but Law may lose him when the Singer's career takes off.

I was happy to see the same narrator once again with this narration, really enjoyed listening to him again.

Great mental health representation

The love between Law and Remy was so beautiful. But it was also great to see such true and positive representation of mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Loved this book and this series in general.

Law and Remy!

Kale Williams is the perfect narrator for this series, I am really enjoing listenening to him bring these Ha venwood men's stories to life. Oh how I fell in love with Law and Remy! This was a love story, through and through, separated by a few years and with some serious challenges and obstacles to overcome along the way. But the heart of this story was the true and all-encompassing love between these 2 men. Remy really touched my heart, he struggled with so much--anxiety, depression, being afraid to be his true self--and it consumed him and effected him finding true happiness. Law was his one safe place, where he felt complete and connected with his music, his passion, and was able to be real. But Law and their love wasn't enough and Remy's journey of becoming the best self he could be was very moving and touched my soul. Through it all their love stayed the course and guided them through. They were so sweet, so sexy and so loving together, it was just so heartwarming!
There were a wonderful cast of side characters to support them both. The Havenwood regulars were all back and fantastic as usual! Laws sister was amazing and Mary Beth touched my heart. I cannot wait for Knox's book next! If you havent done so yet, you need to visit Havenwood, you won't regret it

Beautiful story!

This was such an emotional love story! Many times I found myself tearing up. I love to read more stories of Law and Remi. Well done Riley Hart.
