A series that needs more than 4 books!

I've listened to book after book of the heroine baker saves the day lately and needed something different. This was it! Barnett gave us more that 2 cops and a case. I need more of Brock and Poole!

I wondered why the narrator wasn’t too good. Virtual voice was not as good as the original narrators.

Enjoyable. I Preferred the narrator of the other books. It’s a good story to listen to if you enjoy cozy mysteries.

HATE the virtual voice

This was the usual good story which is pasty of this series. Well written, good character portrayals and very satisfying. But I know from the first sentence that it is a plastic voice. Subtle changes in accent, not quite getting the excitement - I hate it. Stories need life in order for the reader to participate. Virtual voices are fine for text books or news articles, but they don’t do it for stories, and this one spoilt the story for me.
