The story of Maya and her mother’s journey is heart warming. You’ll smile. You’ll feel sadness. You’ll be amazed at the capacity of these two women to love and to experience life.

A great performance- candid and emotive

Loved getting to learn her story and hearing it through her voice. I felt a connection and a lot resonated with me about the disconnect with her mother but the absolute yearning to have it repaired. I enjoyed reading and admiring the characters of the fierce ladies in her life, and they are the type of teachers all young women would learn a great deal from. I’m thankful to have come across this book and will keep the wisdom and teachings she’s passed along.
