Resumen del Editor

She shouldn't be alone. He shouldn't be the one with her. Private investigator and ex-Ranger Noah Sullivan arrives in Nashville to identify the victim of a 20-year-old kidnapping, one of a series of cases in a nation-wide investigation. He plans to locate the victim, hand off information to authorities, and move on. But Quinn Collier has other plans. How dare this handsome stranger ruin her life and not stick around for the fallout?Uncovering the truth means questioning everything she's ever known and destroying every barrier he's ever put up. Finding lust amid the conflict is easy. Love is a whole different story.

interesting story

The story was very interesting, and I felt like the author gave great deal of thought on the subject and the complexity of the situation.
the narrator was okay, but there were technical issues that made it difficult to listen - it sounded like it was recorded in a tunnel.
I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

first time I've listened to both narrator and author. the narrator was okay, but I did have difficulty telling the differences between characters at times. not much in different voices.

the story was interesting, the writing is good.

good storyline

This is the first in this series and of this author I've listened to and I have to say that I thought the story and characters were great! Well written with and overall smooth storyline - a few lulls but nothing distracting. Main characters Noah and Quinn both have hurts and broken parts but when they come together they seem to sooth those broken hurts and so their relationship builds quite quickly. Loved the adult missing person storyline and the private eye cases where everyone is seemingly helped. I would have liked a bit more closure on the criminal case aspect of that as well as how Quinn decides to balance her families. The narration did this read no favors in all honesty. While the tone was okay it felt like the narrator was rushing thru the read - there wasn't a breath to be had when a new chapter started and really at times sounded monotone. I didn't hate the narration I just felt like it was a race to be finished. Also, I'm not sure if it was studio noise or production noise but there were times that there was almost a white noise. Anyway - book was great, storyline was great - few things I think could have been a bit better and narration definitely needed some work.

I received this book for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Not What I Was Expecting

This is a hard review to write because I don't want to give too much away but I'll do my best. Quinn Collier had no idea that the life she had been living might be a lie. She's an artist, as yet unknown, who to pay the bills working as an art teacher, she loves her job but her art is her passion. After the death of her father she's approached by a man she's sure has been spying on her for a while, he tells her she may not be who she thinks she is. The man in question is Noah Sullivan, an ex-Army Ranger who works as a P.I. He's following up on leads on a decades-old child kidnapping, he's sure that Quinn is that missing child.

As you can imagine this news rocks Quinn's world, she's recently lost the man she believed to be her father, she's on her way home to be with the woman she believes to be her mother - can this news be true? Right from their first meeting, there's something of a connection between Quinn and Noah, a connection which before too long they act on. Noah's a bit of a mystery to Quinn, she wants to really get to know him but will that be possible? As for Noah at the end of a case, he walks away, but can he walk away from Quinn?

The storyline flows well, the characters are well-drawn and easy to relate to, I found myself drawn into the story, invested in the outcome, wondering how things would resolve themselves for all concerned. I like the story and enjoyed the narration by Kathy Handrock who I had not previously listed to, and thought she did a good job with all the characters.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Missing!

This is the first story by this author I believe I have read or in this case listened to. The story it self is really good and kept me completely glued to see what happened next. The narrator did a good job as well with the dialogue and the plot. The story is about Nash, Quinn and missing children. Nash was an Army Ranger until an injury destroyed his career. Now he is a private investigator who is looking to missing children that were abducted. The leads him to his latest case involving Quinn and a very old kidnapping. Quinn, a school teacher and artist, had no idea she was the victim or her parents involvement. This story is good with mystery, suspense, passion, angst, emotional turmoil, humor, love and joy. It definitely pulls on the emotional heartstrings. I like the characters. Both helping each other out in different ways.

Charming!

Quinn Collier is an artist, masquerading as a 5th grade art teacher. She loves her kids, but she loves her art more. She's on her way home to see her mother, her father recently died, but she doesn't get far because of a man she's sure has been watching her for some time. She's dealt a shock when he tells her she may not be who she thinks she is. Noah Sullivan is an ex- Army Ranger and PI, who is in town following up on leads to a decades old kidnapping charge and is pretty sure that Quinn is the missing child. There is a spark between them and it's not too long before they act on it. But there's also more to Noah than meets the eye and he's a mystery that Quinn wants to understand. When Noah is finished tying up loose ends in a case, he normally walks away, but he's tied to Quinn in a way he's never been before. This is a charming story of discovery, love, acceptance and forgiveness with vividly drawn characters and charged atmosphere. The narration is wonderfully done by Kathy Handrock, with a well-modulated voice and clear intonation.

Kidnapped and sold.

A very intriguing missing persons romance. Quinn, a 21 year old fifth grade art teacher and artist didn't even know she was missing! It seems there was a whole ring of child kidnappings. Sold for adoption. She doesn't even know who she is. Noah is the P.I. that has found her. It's time for him to move on to the next case. Quinn has other plans.....
Realistic characters. Interesting plot. Attraction and steam.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin.
The narrator does a nice job basically just reading the book. Very easy to understand.. She does not act out the characters or give too much expression.

unexpected

This book/audiobook is about a missing person named Quinn. Quinn is a 5th grade Art teacher with a passion for art. On the day that her father passed away, she was on her way home when Noah approached her and explained to her that she may not be who she thinks she might be. Noah is an ex-Army Ranger and PI, he is in town following up on leads in a decade old kidnapping case. Before long Noah and Quinn start to have sparks between them and they eventually act on them. Noah also has a mystery to him and Quinn tries to figure it out. This story is about acceptance and forgiveness. It is a book/audiobook that you won't want to put down. The narrator did an excellent job.

Missing

Wow! I can’t even imagine what Quinn went through to find out she had been missing. But I love the happy ending. The narrator did a good job bringing all of the characters to life.
