Resumen del Editor

Hers was the plight of a gothic heroine, banished from her home by a cruel brother and his heartless wife, the Dragon Sage. Misunderstood and maligned, Georgiana’s only hope of rescue were letters to aunts describing the medieval dungeon to which she had been sent.

What matter that was a wee exaggeration for effect?

Boasting as many dragon teachers as human ones, Mrs. Fieldings’ School for the Improvement of Young Ladies promises to train Georgiana up to be a proper Blue Order member and a credit to her family. But she was already an accomplished young lady, and an appreciation for dragons was hardly a necessary accomplishment in the marriage mart. Clearly, she had nothing to learn. One way or another, Georgiana would make it through the school term with ther dignity and her opinions intact.

When the new dragon students arrive, needing warm-blooded student partners to complete their educations, Georgiana endures the indignity of a dragon-partner for the promise it will hasten the end of her tenure with Mrs. Fieldings. But dragons always bring complications. Dangerous, dragon-sized ones that not even the Dragon Sage could have predicted. Complications that turn the school term into something truly gothic.

A fresh new gas lamp fantasy adventure in the engrossingly intricate world of Jane Austen’s Dragons.

Love the autistic dragon and world building

In some ways, this book is a step back to simpler stakes in the series, as for a good portion of the book we're at a girls' finishing school and dealing with the smaller scale problems that can happen there, instead of the kidnapping and threats to order of more recent Blue Order books. However, this allows for a lot of world-building opportunities, along with a clearly neurodivergent dragon that I love. And we do come back to the smuggling plotline as the book reaches it's final fourth or so, in an engaging climax. It is interesting to see how Georgina solves her problems compared to Fitzwilliam or Elizabeth, prefer a more "passive" approach that ends up serving her quite well.

Begun with a snit, ended with redemption

Miss Georgiana has "issues" with dragons. She feels they are beneath her, as lesser beings, and not to be noticed. Finding herself sent off to school to learn how to deal with dragons, Georgiana stamps, struts and throws her weight around as an unhappy major dragon might. After all, she is from Pemberthy, home of the Dragon Sage Elizabeth and Sir Fitzwilliam, Georgianana's own brother. As Georgianana's learning progresses, she comes to know dragons for their worth and how important it is to be at their avail in keeping both humans and dragons safe.
As l am married to a man who has issues with high voices and a son who is the same, there were complaints over fairy dragon voices, but l still enjoyed the story. Yes, once again, l laughed out loud at the turn of certain phrases. The Jane Austen touches are marvelous. I have already started book 12, as l really enjoy this series.

Georgiana’s story

Another wonderful dragon tale from Ms Grace. Excellent narration from Benjamin Fife, one of audiobook reader’s appreciated favorites.

Thank you for the surprise chuckles when G is telling her friend about Darcy and Elizabeth’s history. The suggestion that their romance would make a good book caught me off guard 😄.

Wonderful Growth

Definitely lots of teenage tension as Georgiana explores the world of working with dragons. In the beginning she has a hard time adjusting as there’s one particular dragon that just won’t leave her alone and towards the end, Georgiana is faced with a dilemma on whether or not to save the one dragon that has done nothing but make her life miserable. I recommend this serious absolutely love it the ending makes it sound like there could be more books written if there are, I’m pretty sure they’ll be just as good as the rest of the series. If not, oh I am happy with the 11 books that are already out.

Another good book in the series

You have to begin at book one and follow along with each book to understand the characters and dragons mates while the plots unfold.
The narrator was awesome and made the dragons and humans come to life.
