A do not bother book

A superficial view of the Middle Ages indeed. It is incapable of seeing life and accomplishment from the perspective of the long middle ages. The critique from 21st century perspective adds arrogance to the superficiality.

not very detailed

This book is not very good. It's a very quick vague look at the Middle Ages, and only really covers the end of the period. This book lost me when it was refering to king Arthur as if he was a real person. Also there is a obvious biased against religion as well.
