Great book, needs professional NARRATOR

These books are really good, I have listened to the first 6 books multiple times. I was shocked when they changed narrators. So it went from my favorite Zombie series to just good.
I keep buying this series , but it always makes me sad, because I know how great this series would be with a professional voice actor. I feel like I’m being read to by a high school teacher rather than being lost in the story, like the first Narrator. But even with the Narrator changes, these books should have a lot more listeners. V plague didn’t come up when I put in Zombie books, zombie apocalypse, dystopian, military I tried a bunch of prompts. I don’t know how people find it if they don’t have Dirk PAtton’s name or V Plague. I got the first book because it was on sale, then I was hooked. I can’t stop thinking with good advertising and an excellent narrator how many followers Dirk would have a huge following.

Love this series!

Dirk… I love your series! You are seriously talented and I’ll be with you through the entire series but…. Please find a narrator that can do a Russian accent. Your effort was valiant and you’re not half bad at English narration. Other than that this book was amazing. Love, a reader

Prefered the previous narrator

I think this is the author narrating. He shouldn’t. While not bad, the previous was better. Or any pro should be. Otherwise, yeah, good story!

Love the series…However

I am not trying to be negative here, I’ve listened to hundreds of audio books.. Narrator’s make a great book underwhelming.. I have read the entire series.. amazing.. Second to none as an author.. Please oh please find a great performer (like the one for the first few books in the series) and stick with him.. If I hadn’t already read the entire series and known where the story was heading, I would have stopped and returned the title.. As a major fan of your work, I think you should leave the performance to someone who brings your amazing world to life, your performance drags down an otherwise perfect story

Finally

Been waiting forever for these to start again! Book was as always great. For someone who, as far as I know, doesn't narrate you do very well. Sounds a lot more like John would.
Now for some constructive criticism. The sound is off and I'm not very good at putting stuff into words but I'll try my best. To me it sounded echoey? I have a Blue Nano Mic and it sounds like when I played with the preset settings. It is also quiet. I have to turn my sound way up in the car to hear where I don't usually when I listen to audiobooks driving. Nothing to make me quit listening or refusing the rest of the series but stuff that you may not even realize.
Keep em coming! I have all that are out so far and have read the full series! Absolute favorite series
