Realistic views of Viet Nam missions

Where does Men in Green Faces rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Once I started this book, it was hard to "put it down"

What did you like best about this story?

The characters came alive, the realism of the situations was right on, and the sensativity of Gene Wentz was portrayed well. Not everyone was a bad guy, not everyone was a good guy, that was the V.N. war.

Have you listened to any of Jeff Gurner’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not. His vocal, however, was a near-perfect read, not too gruff, not too soft.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

These situations made me appreciate what our armed forces do for us every day of every year. They put themselves in harm's way; we need to appreciate them more!

Any one who was over there or knew of someone who served there would probably enjoy this read.

Great story excitement in every chapter

Great story, never lost interest. But I gotta say what won me over was the narration. I'm big into military books and enjoy listening to them as I work out some narrator's try to hard and voices are really annoying. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. Highly recommend this book no matter how you choose to approach it, you will not be let down!

Really made me think about the people of Vietnam

Yes, interesting story line and characters. Lots of folks to keep track of so it might deserve another listen.

even though I'm a foreigner this made me want to complete BUDS training just to challenge myself... Seals are hard dudes

Men in green faces. Holy Cow!!

I loved every minutes if the book! So many cliff hangers. And the moment you realize the main character is still only a baby with so much tenure and strength. Highly recommend to anyone!

Different note: “No easy day” brought me here.

Five star plot, narration, and action

Ahhhh, this is a must read.
Before picking this read I checked the reviews and totally disagree with those that were negative. SEAL Teams from the days of Vietnam were the forefathers of Teams today. They wrote the lesson plans in blood and passed on a legacy for those that follow. So those few, the little few negative reviews didn’t get it - and sadly - they may never get it. What drives a man to subject himself - or now, what drives a woman, to put it all on the line? Why would anyone become a SEAL? Patriotism first, then come challenge, the come most importantly than all - the brotherhood of those that choose to serve with you! Nope - I’m no SEAL, but I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and read this book. HooYah Men In Green Faces,” thank you for both defending freedom and for making our enemies fear the night while the innocent safely slumber in peace. Highly recommend this audiobook.

Outstanding listen

Fantastic listen. Struggled to stop listening. Felt like I was right there. researched c float, and solid anchor. I am cur I us about more history, being a Seabee myself.
