Excellent Story!

it was worth every minute of listening and the narrator, Peter Noble was absolutely perfect for the beautifully poetic writing style of Tim Willocks.

New to me

I didn’t think this was for me after the first few minutes, then it took off. This new to me author is excellent, the narrator is also excellent. Hard to listen to, not hard to understand the terrible history of that country. Can’t recommend it enough.

One of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to

This really was great both in the narration and the crazy story of retribution and revenge. I highly recommend it. Violent yes but not so that it seems unneeded and unbelievable nor distracting from the storyline.
I would love to see a sequel though this book does wrap up into a very tidy ending. I loved the main character.

Great storyline! Hope this is the first one.

I would like this to be the first story in a new series. It was pretty original and very believable. It had a great protagonist that was committed to adhering to his own sense of right and wrong.

If it's slow to start, keep going

Man, I loved this book! The humor, death, politics, all was just spot on. I wish there was a series of books with Turner. I love this straight edged black police man with green eyes in a land where black is wack. Just keep listening if it's slow to start, honestly. I almost gave up and I forget the one line that kept me in, but it will get ya!!

Well written and well narrated, very much enjoyed this one. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Any book by Tim Willocks is well worth reading

I discovered this author many years ago and was immediately caught up with his descriptions, setting the stage so to speak, so you can almost feel the heat of the sun or the smell of sweat, in the scene. This novel was a treat.

Great writing, great story, excellent narration. Absolutely well worth a listen. You won't be disappointed.

Great Story, Exceptional Narrator.

I loved this book! Very different from my usual crime stories. Perfectly gruesome in spots. Narrator was amazing. Great job switching back and forth between accents and cadences.
