They say a good man is hard to find. Kardell Spencer and Lewis Turner know this all too well. Neither is lucky in love.

Kardell Spencer is a hard-working, successful advertising company owner who has a no nonsense approach to work and professionalism. Lewis Turner is Kardell's flamboyant, over-the-top employee. They are polar opposites. Lewis speaks how he feels. Sometimes the things he says are so shocking that they leave people around him gasping for air. Mateo Lopez is a rich, handsome restaurateur and a new client for Kardell Spencer's company. When he takes a liking to Kardell, Kardell plays hard to get. Never one to miss an opportunity, Lewis quickly moves in and makes a play for Mateo's attention. It all comes to a head when Kardell and Lewis each find out about the other's intent for Mateo. Mateo takes control of the situation and proposes a contest to see who will be the best man for him. In May the Best Man Win, two men may find out that winning is not always winning.

You really out did yourself in this one M. T . Pope!! I really enjoyed the characters and antics lol. But O... M... GEEEEEE!! That one part!! That one part tho!! 😮 NEVER seen that coming. Like wait whaaaaat! Noooo 🤯lol l. Man listen I only have one heart, don't be doing me like that. lol. Great listen I love it. I'm hooked on your work!

Smh, eventhough I didn't trust Mateo from the very beginning, I did not see that shit coming!
Cordell and Louis, two co-workers that couldn't be any more opposites fell over the heels for the same guy. So much that they couldn't see they were both being played. Wanting the man that could finally give them all of what their heart desired, made it easy for them to fall right into his plan.

I listened to the alternate ending that Pope made for the chumps (my words, not his), that needed happy endings. Both endings were dope but I favored the first ending because of the emotion he pulled out of me by it.

A good story of finding your inner self and love. Sometimes love is just around the corner. One should just wait and not choose the first person that shows you strong interest.

This is a wonderful book.

I like how this book made my mind wonder, and imagine what was being read to me. I just there were more gay african american books on here.

Loved the performance and the alternate endings. Plot twist was not expected. Highly recommended

Great Story not so great performance

This story was very good with great character development and introspective. The plot gets a bit fantastical towards the middle and end, but still a good story. P.S. the narrator who does Luis is very hard to listen and did not properly represent the character he was portraying.

Very wonderful book with an exciting plot.

I truly enjoyed this book. The characters were wonderfully developed. The plot was really intriguing . The author out did himself. I think it should be developed into a screen play or a television 3 part mini series.

5 stars because of the ( spoiler alert) double ending

Really enjoyed this story it was fun until it wasn’t. It took an unexpected dark turn had me on my seats edge. I hated the first ending, I liked the second better although I wished the author had gone with the ending in my head lol. Still… a really great listen and I will be doing a repeat. Great job.
