Great story!!

I loved the new take on vampires in this story. I also liked that the lead female character was smart and strong. She didn’t have to constantly be rescued. And I loved that the male lead character respected her strength but still also treated her like a woman. The narration was great too. Wish all the series has the same narrator!!

Not my typical listen

Paranormal and shifters are not my typical listen, but was pleasantly surprised with this book. Much like many two separate communities, the wolves and bears are rivals. A situation that threatens both of them arises and they find that they may have to fight together. When this does not happen,Neesa, the wolves assassin and Jackson(a bear assassin) work together to try and save their clans/packs. Will they be able to see past their differences? Lively has created an adventure of suspense, erotic romance and acceptance. Through the many twists and turns this story takes, we get to interact with a great cast of characters and work to find out if they will survive and get their happily ever after.

Jeffrey D Peterson and Ali Peterson give a wonderful duet performance for this narration. Jeffrey has a deep baritone edginess giving the male characters, especially Jackson the alpha feel necessary for their characters. Ali gives Neesa the necessary assertive and tender voices for her character to be the warrior that she is.

Excellent shifter romance!

I have to say wow, I love listening to these to on audible. They are Fan-freaking-tastic! ❤️ together. This book is well written and narrated!
I loved the storyline. The book had me intrigued and not wanting to put it down.
I definitely definitely recommend this audiobook!
